Hi All, I'm new to this, so bear with me... I moved to Western Canada around 9 years ago from the UK & I have struggled ever since with the humidity in the region where I live, at this moment the humidity in the house is somewhere are 26% & consequently whenever I start painting the paint is dry almost as soon as I touch the figure! Does anybody else have these issues & have you found a way around them other than having a humidifier installed in the house? I do have a small humidifier in my painting room, but it isn't really making that much difference, mainly, I suspect because I can't close the door... Any suggestions welcome...

Work with a wet palette and play with the dilution of your paints to account for the humidity.

Having a portable humidifier set up closer to your painting station will definitely help too.

I do have a better humidifier in the house that has become free, so I might steal that & give it a go! I have a wet pallet, & I have been guilty of not using it in recent weeks, so I might have to dig that out again. I have diluted most of my paints with a medium, but I wasn't sure about pushing that further with water, but it might be worth a go... thanks for the advice...
