The first pose is the obvious one:


Some cuts, some green stuff, a little twiddely fiddely with the different legs, done.

The second one would be a more crawling pose with some extra added legjoints:


It will be more additional work which I do not mind but I am very undecided. Will it look better that way and would it make the space the model needs unnecessary larger.

Any other ideas that spring to mind? Or do you already see a winner?

In my big pile of untouched miniatures I finally found a solution to my liking.


So just cutting the Dark Vengeance Hellbrute into fitting pieces does the trick.




Yes, the filler matireal is play doh. Isn't that too soft? Apperently not. I was surprised myself.




I also used some leftovers from the new city terrain and the mechanicus terrain.




In making this modell nearly all cuts went into plastic... BLOOD FOR THE BLOODGOD!

And yes, I now have a Soulgrinder lying around I have no real use for...yet.

Why isn't it a Drider but a soldier ant?

I tooled around with some options mostly the soulgrinder and tyranid legs and I found no satisfying solution. Sorry .

This reminds me of Syndicate Wars and Chucrch of the NEw Epocs spider drones. :-)

I feel like the helbrute and soulgrinder bodies are too big for the venomcrawler. Maybe the daemon prince torso would work better?

There is also a legproblem. As there are not as many new super detailed plastic legs out there that will fit. Once the Lord Discordant is out that might change. One reason I decided against the Demon Prince is the hunched over pose and that it is not that detailed and busy as the venomstalker. I have a strong feeling that I will revisit this thread in a few month. Thanks for the feedback it is very appreciated.
