n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Whats with the red dot sight? Is that a joke? Oh jeez he's got an M4 stock and a flashlight on that.
It must have been hard for him to put down the beer while making the video.

Lots of modern crossbows use red dot sights, it’s not unusual.

That strikes me as just funny. Each to your own I guess.

I would like to see the firing in real time and not speeded up like he did.

My crossbow came with a red dot sight by default. Still can't quite get it set right :/

A red dot sight always struck me as a little silly on crossbows. It seems like it should be too susceptible to wind to make it useful. Its not like a firearm where the distances a red dot is useful at won't have any environmental factors changing your point of aim.

A simple distance gauge like a bow has would surely be more practical.

Lol, red dot doesn't improve accuracy on such weapons.

Please don't take this the wrong way.
Have you set a target for 50 feet. set the bow on a table and sighted there including the drop? Its a bow so its not going to be firearm accurate but should have a general several inch deviation from point of aim.

Remember an RDS is not about accuracy, but fast acquisition of target, especially with old eyes (which is why its taking the shooting world by storm right now).

If you are looking for accuracy you are looking for an actual scope, with an illuminated reticulate if needed.

Maybe thwaka thwaka. They are kind of loud. A 9mm with suppressor is actually more quiet.

Yeah my brother has a crossbow and I was surprised at how loud it was the first time we played with it.

A little curious on the hate for an RDS on anything. All an RDS does is provide a simpler point of aim, not requiring a front/rear sight to get a proper alignment. You'd still account for hold, drop, wind, etc. are usual. I know feth all about crossbows, but a point of aim is a point of aim. An RDS just provides a much easier/faster point of aim than other normal sighting methods.

The AR-15 style stock is just for convenience. Why re-invent the wheel when you can just toss on a buffer tube and slap on a ready-made aftermarket product vs. producing a new stock in-house. That's also exceptionally common on a number of non-AR firearms. Again it's just whatever is easier/faster to produce/use.
