So a owner of the 2010 Fantasy "island of blood" 8th edition had the huge box content + bought blisters of extras. Was a great deal, i know the game very well (watching BReports and live games + old fantasy playa) altough never owning AoS minis.

8th edition minis look great, will buy round bases. Minis are unpainted and partially not assembled i got work to do.

    My question here i guess is, What setups i get for this mess? What else to buy (ik a lot but i can convert stuff if you tip me) I LOVE converting . (About big boss am unsure between the new wacko Warpnaw OR Skreech seems OP).

    Whats a battleline i would get using parts of this (and more) i can start with?

    I'm not sure you really need much else to start with.

    3*40 clanrats is about as solid as you can get for your battleline... In fact, it's the main thing that stops me from starting a skaven army: the knowledge that 120 clanrats is the starting point for competitive builds. So you are golden there.

    All the other things from that point on, are the spices for your army. Mix it up as you see fit.

    Obsolete units:
    Only the 2 poison wind Mortars.


    Purchases:
    *2 priorities: Terrain and endless spells I would say.
    *Plague monks are killer units, but 40 of them is advised, so adding an extra box is probably smart.
    * Hellpit abomination is absurdly strong as anti horde.

    Abomination? There's 4 OP vermins, i got to go with one of those man (for now), from the spells to range friendly bonus...

    I have 3 Jezzails 2 throwers. Are they good atm? Because i know that rattling guns are good. Should i convert?

    My late, later project is making Skryre clan, basically all new units. For now i don't care i'm full focus on what to accomplish with what i have + buy..

    About Endless i'm getting the box asap. The bell seems to be amazing to duo with the regular bell, if i can reroll the bell mailfunction with a CP i guess it's fine, whole rats not running. Gnawholes i know the basics and seems to be a game changing thing... ---- One question tho, the oldschool driller+ratties still exists, and if so why don't i see it used, it's always a amazing trigger on opponent.

    Oh yeah, the verminlords will also definitely be a good choice. Skaven have a really good spread for solid units.

    WFTs are also incredible horde removal tools, so you might be right that a hellpit abomination might be a bit redundant in a way.

    I would also not convert the plastic WFT teams from IoB if I were you. The sculpts are miles above the old metal ones that they dug up again, so it would almost be a shame to waste good and newer sculpts.

    Sooo much talk here about WFT. I had to google what it was. In the end can't understand the conclusion if it was nerfed or not, just know it can fry units. They talk about Skaven being good vs hordes but the problem being elits.

    Well, it ofc depends highly on your local player's habits.

    But right now, hordes seem to be the meta in quite a lot of countries at least. Skaven have answers to it... Lots of answers.

    An army that destroys everything with equal ease hasn't been invented yet...

    And skaven can lock down elites quite handily with clanrats and still get the objectives, so it's not the biggest worry out there for skaven I think.

    I'm sold to WarBringer Verminlord. The 2 bonus 13" to units is most matters to me, farms CPs on 5+ per round, 1 crucial reroll in this game can flip things. As per attacks, they all have amazing ones but this one as a interesting one: Range - Pick enemy unit roll D6, if over his wounds (not sure if atm wounds or starter) he dies. If it's starter wounds so many glasscannons in this game with 4-5, you can end them like that.

    I don't understand the new verminlord pretty well (gnaw smt, moves around your battalions).

    Still not sure how to max out gnawholes potential but kinda have to get them now. Zergs always have the prob of reaching far away objectives but if this helps... Another thing i love and rarely see is the Driller that tunnels small rats to anyone in the table, this can be so annoying for enemies, have to get one.

    The other endless spells box, no idea about the triangle thing seems good, the bell tho, loved it. Regular bellwheels + mounting a seer is 400pts (if i'm not wrong). If this one can go do the same job is a feat indeed. Might not cast yes, might explode but 1 CP and you reroll the explosion.

    Still don't know battalions where no more than 80 CRs would be ideal i want toys not 200 clones...
