Human Auxiliary to the Empire

Hi, I played the previous edition, got hooked and bought Rohan.
Life got in the way, hibernated, and now just got the new book!
What's different? Rules-wise?
I got some free time now and wanted to focus on finishing the minis and reviewing whatever rules' been changed
Thanks much!

Not a whole lot. Special strikes and monster power attacks (optional things you can do instead of striking blows normally, situational but sometimes useful) are the major difference in the rulebook, army bonuses/ally restrictions are new and give some armies pretty significant tweaks to how they function (the +1S charging makes Rohan function much better as shock cavalry), and there are a few more Heroic Actions that allow heroes with lower stats to make up for their deficiencies (Heroic Strike for +Fight is probably the most important for Rohan given that you cap out at Fight 5).

As to changes on the army lists Mirkwood and Lothlorien have gotten access to heavy armour on infantry which is a massive boon for trying to use elves in general, hobbits have gotten an across-the-board price jump to make hobbit archer-spam less of a thing, Hobbit!Rivendell and LotR!Rivendell have been combined so you're allowed infantry and cavalry in the same force now, a lot of characters that had multiple versions have been fused into one profile with all the strengths of both...

That's awesome, thanks AnomanderRake!
It means I can get back to the game faster.
Do you have comments for Gondor as well? I recently picked up a half painted force I'm finishing

Biggest new thing for Gondor is Shieldwall (first seen on the Iron Hills dwarves in Five Armies), so the Gondorian infantry brick is now D7 and can tell crossbows and Uruks to take a hike.
