Chaos Space Marine dedicated to Slaanesh






Hello,

This is my first attempt at a Chaos list and I'm wanting to do the Corsairs as they sound cheaper than the usual wave of cultists. This list is my 1,000 point hold out till new Rhino's are released. I want to know what you all think, primarily if my 10 man marine squad is viable moving forward.

I would not pick a landraider TBH. It is bad and relatively unlikely to be fixed.
I would also not pick missile launchers due to them beeing rather ineffective compared to their price. (If you have a local guard player he surely has some bits leftover from HWT's. Ask him for the AC's cut them off and put the barrel on the Heavy Bolter kit, that nets you a nice AC which is better and cheaper then the missile launcher).

A sorcerer has only 2 Spells and Smite to my knowledge.

I also would always mark units, like the 10 man squad , with slaanesh, for the double fire shenanigans stratagem. (it one of the few things keeping CSM somewhat relevant.)

GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

I was just throwing that list around and hearing that the land raider is crap I'm going to toss it out and sit pretty for a while. I really don't want to get a Rhino only to get a new one in three months.

Depends on the LR. Use a hellforged LR achilles, give it the tzeentch mark, cast weaver of fates on it, and it has a 3+ inv Alternatively, give it the slaanesh mark, and cast delightful agonies on it for a 5+ FNP

ML are fine, they are a hybrid weapon, work against armour and hordes.

He said Cheap, FW ain't cheap and it's still a rather underwhelming piece of equipment still ... Also i doubt in a 1000 pts list you need a LR of any kind.

ML's are fine? It is one of the worst pieces of equipment for baseline CSM.
