My plan is to divide the inceptors and hellblasters into combat squads. deepstrike the inceptors on pesky units, and deepstrike the scouts to allow for my flyers and bikes and hellblasters to be able to come on in and wreck things with the plasma strategem!

Hopefully this is a viable army, and if not please let me know how it won't work.

It should do pretty good against Nids. Is the Guard just Guard or the "soup" nonsense? Knights would be tough but almost everyone has problems with them.

The core of the list looks good to me but why not put that third troops choice in and get another 4 CP. If you get second turn and play prepared positions (which you almost always should) you will only have 3 CP for the next 6 turns.

You could use intercessors, they are pretty handy and people will be leaving them alone to shoot hellblasters for a turn or two. Just drop a inceptor or two!

I'm really liking the cheap scouts and a friend of mine pointed out that I can get 10cp if I tried a bit better, also mentioned a lieutenant and ancient for rerolls, and bikes galore.. Here is an updated list to get that third troop in
