Putting the model together was a pain as the tracks would not bend back into place. I left them as they were to be extra orky, so one track comes slightly out from underneath the tank. I drilled a few holes going through all 3 and pinned them together. It was necessary because the tank body was fairly thin where the tracks attached. Magnetized the turrets and the weapons.

For painting I started out using 3 rust colors as a basecoat using an airbrush. I dabbed other 4 other rust colors around the entire model with a brush. After that was cured I sprayed the model in hairspray and sprinkled a LOT of salt on it. Much more than needed and it kind of ruined the old battleship camouflage I initially went for. Sprayed grey and red stripes over all of it and waited 8 hours before dissolving the salt to reveal the rust colors. LIGHTLY went over the entire model in necron compound and then drowned the thing in enough Agrax to quench Duncan's insatiable thirst. The weapons are just typhus corrosion and ryza rust with agrax as the shade. The grot is whatever dark green I had, drenched in a blue wash, highlighted in the lighter green.

I’ll second that comment. Great job on a model that is (sadly) seldom seen.

Very nice work - the rust/corrosion is spot on. I love the grot with the telescope in the top!

Yeah - I just had to look it up to remind myself that it was a Forgeworld model and not a scratch build.
