Aaaand after the
Castellan-Achean Battle-Automata and the
Khenetai Occult Blades, this is the last of my attempts to update Forge World's Thousand Sons 30k units for the 41st Millennium. Canonically,
Magistus Amon was a cool dude murdered by Ahriman sometime after the Rubric, so this is a historical character choice, like a loyalist Huron. Or maybe Magnus brought him back to life for your game, who can say? In any case, Amon is a less potent Sorcerer than Ahriman, who is already obscenely cheap compared to a vanilla Exalted Sorcerer. As a brilliant scholar, knows just as many powers, but can only cast and deny two, and doesn't enjoy Ahriman's fat bonus to either test. He also has a Warlord Trait you wouldn't normally take on anything but a Daemon Prince. Instead, Amon comes with artificer armor for a 2+ save, as well as the mind-devouring Dust of Devourers, which are the fossilized remains of psychic parasites he can fling at his enemies. More importantly, he has a free Webway Stratagem for himself and a unit of friends, which also comes with a hilarious counter-deep-strike ability for maximum mindgames.

Amon is a single model armed with a force stave containing the Dust of the Devourers, frag grenades, and krak grenades. Only one of this model may be included in your army.
Weapons
Dust of the Devourers: Range 6", Assault D3, S1, AP-2, D1, Abilities: This weapon can be fired within 1" of an enemy unit, and can target enemy units within 1" of friendly units. This weapon automatically hits its target. If the target is not a VEHICLE, this weapon's Strength becomes equal to the target's Leadership characteristic. Abilities
Death to the False Emperor: Each time you make a hit roll of 6+ for a model with this ability in the Fight phase, it can, if it was targeting an IMPERIUM unit, immediately make an extra attack against the same unit using the same weapon. These extra attacks cannot themselves generate any further attacks.Armour of Shadows: This model has a 4+ invulnerable save.Lord of the Thousand Sons: You can re-roll hit rolls of 1 made for friendly THOUSAND SONS units within 6" of Amon.Hidden Paths: During deployment, you can set up Amon and up to one other THOUSAND SONS INFANTRY unit in a hidden realm instead of placing it on the battlefield. At the end of any of your Movement phases these units can emerge from concealment – set them up anywhere on the battlefield that is more than 9" away from any enemy models and within 3" of each other. In addition, once per battle, when your opponent sets up a unit as reinforcements, you can reveal that Amon anticipated their arrival. Choose one THOUSAND SONS unit that is set up in a hidden realm, teleportarium chamber, or the webway, and set up that unit anywhere on the battlefield that is within 12" of the enemy reinforcements and more than 9" from any enemy models.
Psyker
Amon can attempt to manifest two psychic powers in each friendly Psychic phase, and attempt to deny two psychic powers in each enemy Psychic phase. He knows the Smite psychic power and three psychic powers from the Discipline of Change and/or Dark Hereticus discipline.
Warlord Trait
Aetherstride: Your Warlord can Advance and charge in the same turn, and can re-roll failed charge rolls.
