I have been really enjoying the break from CBM with these biopics about musicians, it's been refreshing.

I really enjoyed Bohemian Rhapsody and am looking forward to seeing Rocket Man.

One of the lesser known ones from a few years ago I really enjoyed was Control (the Ian Curtis/Joy Division biopic).

Sid & Nancy was good. That movie introduced me to Gary Oldman and I have been a fan ever since.

What musicians/bands would you like see get a biopic? Who would play the part/s?

For me, I would love to an Iggy and the Stooges movie. For the life of me though, I really can't think of anyone who could play the part of Iggy Pop!

Edit to add: What biopics about musicians/bands did you enjoy or recommend?

I believe there's one planned about Boy George, but it's still in early stages at the moment.

I'm not a big biopic watcher, I saw The Doors in the cinema and it put me off.

To quote Denis Leary, "Do we need a 2 1/2 hour movie on The Doors? I don't think so! I can sum it up for you. I'm drunk, I'm nobody. I'm drunk, I'm famous. I'm drunk, I'm dead. There you have it: big, fat, dead guy in a bathtub."

I liked Walk the Line, the Johnny Cash one. Only time that I've liked anything that that Legally Blonde woman was in.

The Mötley Crüe one, The Dirt, I saw a few weeks ago, was brilliant. So bummed out that I sat off in our tent a few years ago at a festival instead of going to see them!

What would I like to see done as a biopic? Something on Rammstein. That would be interesting.

Walk Hard was outstanding.

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG
-"Don't mind Frazzled. He's just Dakka's crazy old dude locked in the attic. He's harmless. Mostly."

I recently watched the one about Morrissey. Very disappointing. I already knew that he was abit awkward and rude.

Who else could play Iggy but Iggy??

I don't really go searching for biopic movies, but I did really enjoy Bohemian Rhapsody. As for Rocketman. . . . Something just doesn't sit right with that one, mostly seeing as how he's still very much alive and (seemingly) not on the way out. The Walk the Line film hit either shortly after Mr. Cash's passing, or fairly near it where he was highly inactive anymore.

Dunno if its already been done, but there's a few artists that I think would make excellent film "studies" . . David Bowie, Klaus Nomi would be right near the top of that list for me. Maybe a film about one of the guys who lived through the Roaring 20s and Prohibition and all that, like a Duke Ellington or another big band leader/performer.

David Bowie would be a fun one for sure! And a Billy Idol one would probably be something like a Slaanesh movie where even the god of hedonism goes “alright guys, let’s call it a night”.

I’m iffy about Bob Seger for a bio-pic, cuz I love his music (favorite classic rock), but I think his bio-pic would mostly be an adventure movie on the back of a Harley, gigs at nightclubs, filled with many lonely nights of solitude.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
