I am seeking some small scale star trek ships for use in an RPG campaign. Does anyone have any suggestions for models about the scale of X-Wing miniatures?

These are about the SIZE of X-Wing miniatures, which means the scale is very different since Star Trek ships tend to be way bigger than fighters.

Attack Wing seems like a reasonable bet, there are loads on Shapeways if you want something a little different and there are quite a few .stl scattered around if you have access to a printer yourself.

Amarillo Design Bureau, the company that publishes Starfleet Battles, often has a line of miniatures attached to the game. I'm not sure whether that's the case at the moment. But if you're interested in TOS-era ships, you might want to take a look there for figures. You wouldn't be interested in most of the line, since most of the ships are unique to the game.. But all of the ships that appeared on TV (as well as the additional Federation ships from the Starfleet Technical Manual) are represented in the game and the line.

Forgot all about them, have you got any recent ones? Their old stuff was all pewter and some of the most hideous casting I have ever come across, wonder if they have changed. Though they do have a shop on Shapeways.

As a side note, Star Trek Attack Wing early models used the models of the Star Trek Clix game, even down to the paint. If you can find some on clearance, they may be even easier to get your hands on.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

You can also get unpainted versions of the Attack Wing ships from places like Miniature Market, from the same line of Wizkids "Deep Cuts" minis as the primed Pathfinder minis.

Or go super cheap and find the older Clix version. There are probably loads of starters sitting somewhere for cheap.

Their 2500 series was, for the most part, okay casting wise. However, anything I get now is from their Shapeways store.

@OP: Micromachines are also a thing. If you want TOS, TMP, or early TNG era, the Rawcliffe pewter minis are decent too (though you would need to paint them)

They were cheap at one time, but I haven't seen any truly cheap Clix Star Trek minis for a while now.

Some of the old Micromachines boxes or even the old 1/2500 scale minis might be cheaper on a per-starship basis, depending on what you are looking for.

What era are you interested in? Are you open to 3d printed ships (whether through a service or printing them yourself)? Are you open to fan/abandoned designs or just current official canon ships?

Looks like these will do the job. Scale is unimportant.
