So, it occurs I have built every possible biker army in the game with the exception of GSC. I am not sure how it never occurred to build one. looking at the models I am likely going to try and build a themed mad max list. Looking to modtly do 3 boxes of bikes/quads, 3 ridge riders, and 3 goliath rock grinders mayeb 3 or f the other truck if needed.

my question is what should I include with that to make a playable 1500-2kish list? I like as much mech as possible. I don't need or want to take tournaments with it, but I know very little about what would make this be fun and not autolose in narrative play. I am open to allying guard and getting in some rough riders and using alternate models on bikes and alternate chimeras mroe liek buggies but idk what even works with them.

Aren't they fast attack only?

That would lower the fieldable points quite heavy, except of course you would also add cheaps and their arty vehicles and mechanized units.

GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

probably? I don't know much about GSC honestly. I am more of a painter and modeler of biker armies. my orks are the only army that sees serious play. I have a nice display case behind my desk though where I liek showing off models and rotating in whatever find of battle I want over there. I will probably get em down in a few games mostly for photos against other well painted armies (when I finish in about 3-4 months) beyond that they might be used once a month for a pickup game. I just want to be abel to not be 100% loss rate and/or to end up being unbound without any HQs or having HQs that don't make any sense for me

1500-2000 most around here don't want a small game unless its 2v2 and even there 1250-1500 per person per side

I am really open to anything as long sa it fits in the transports.

my idea on it is like the blips representing the large plume of dust and smoke coming over the horizon then when the units are put down on the table it is them emerging from the cloud. obviously nobody be on foot to make that work. I am open to deep striking something though and just go with it as maybe troops hidden in waiting or skydiving in.

I used a lot of alternate models for my GSC army so it would visually and thematically stand out from my IG army. The IG troops are catachans and 1E Necromunda gangers (Van Saar?). The dune buggies are Robogear, the tank is a chibi Panther model, the four-legged walker was an out-of-production resin kit (turned out to be bigger than I expected, but I may use it as a goliath) and the "chimeras" are Sdkfz 250 & Sdkfz 251.

Just out of curiosity, and also because i am realy fed up with the lack of rules for my Renegades and Heretics, what would be a decent way to run a Shooting focussed list mostly centered on humanoid forces?

Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to play the force above yet, but in my opinion GSC have a pretty good mix of ranged weapons as well as some nasty ones (such as the rockcutter). The kelermorph seems especially nasty - a true ranged character killer who is also good at dealing with enemy infantry, especially heavy infantry like primaris.

i really do want to model the mad max piled together junk vehicle thing so basically GSC meets orks

Nah, they're more like Admech. Rusted Claw is where it's at for Bikers!

You need acolytes with rocksaws, which aren't too far off being Mad Max-themed themelves. Check out Frankie Giampapa's GSC lists, he runs 3 maxed out biker units.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Rusted Claw jackals are point for point among the most efficient units in the game due to their crazy high durability and mobility. You get -1 to hit T4 2w bodies with a 4+ save against most anti-infantry guns for the low cost of 5 points per wound. There are very few guns in the competitive meta that kill them efficiently and their speed means you can always move them where ever they need to go to give your opponent the greatest headaches.

I haven't seen them spammed a ton in competitive GSC lists though. This might be because the models are pretty expensive and you'd want three max squads which ends up being a lot of time and money. That's 36 bikes and 9 wolfquads for 500-600 points.

It would be an extremely strong core to a GSC list.

I think it’s possible to get model kits of the mad max vehicles, BTW. Even if you DON’T, I could see it being fun taking model/toy car kits and a hacksaw to build your own. Or possibly using the new ork vehicles and just replace the driver and passengers with GSC-themed figures.

yea It will be a mix of gw parts, toys, and 3d printed things. I do have alot of ork buggies but i want them to look different across from my orks. I have a fdm and resin printer so can pull of lots of little custom parts to addon. I am actually goign to be designing a good bit of em myself so its custom (though will probably post files to thingiverse so others can also use the designs)

Frankie from FLG runs something like this competitively. Max bikes, 3 full units (1 has only 2 Wolfquads though).

Here's this from like, yesterday, where he breaks down his list. The list itself is at the start of interested
