I've only got back into W40K over the past year or two so store anniversary's aren't something I've really been to and I've only been once before, I've been told that the store anniversary exclusive miniatures (At the moment Jovun and Larissa) are something that don't count towards the free gifts for spending a certain amount. I was hoping to get the free art prints with a £50 spend from buying some of the Anniversary models (can't afford both the models and an extra £50 for the prints) so it's a bit disapointing if I won't be able to do that. Is that the usual policy for the free gifts at the store anniversarys, or is it something that varies depending on the store? I also noticed that the tin that's the next free gift is just a £15 or so tin that's available seperately elsewhere, but there isn't any other way to get those art prints, is there?

It.....varies.

I do quite a lot of Exclusives shopping, as I run the Loot Sharing Group on FB.

Last year, I did a big Loot of Milton Keynes, and qualified for multiple freebies.

This year, I'm Looting my local store next weekend. And seemingly, I won't qualify for freebies.

That being said, when I spoke to the manager the other week, it was only freebie Larissa and Jovan I wouldn't qualify for, just by buying Larissa and Jovan. So things are up in the air at the moment.

I'll try to clarify more - but we've had Looters qualify for freebies, and not qualify this year. So it's hard to say what the policy is, if there even is one

As MDG said, it seems to be set by the store manager. In my store last year you had to spend £200+ to get the freebie models. You couldn't buy them.

2800pts/1200 painted
2200pts/650 painted

My local one has its birthday tommorow, they had a birthday a few months ago too (having 2 this year for some reason) and the exclusives did count then, which is why i'm unsure and a bit annoyed. Lat time i got to the till and was then told they don't count, even though their facebook page made no mention of it and the only one it specifically said they wouldn't with was as part of the £150 gift where you get the miniatures free. Said this to the manager and he checked the document about it and couldn't see them specifically excluded, so gave it a try and scanned the £50 art print barcode anyway, and it worked so i got them then....but apparantly that was a mistake and they shouldn't have really counted. The Milton Keynes store had a birthday last month but I can see no mention of the miniatures having not counted on their facebook that I can see, while my local store does say they don't count (although, that's seemingly only been posted there after I sent them a message asking for clarification after they had mentioned they didn't count instore) and GW customer service said they don't count too.

Strangely they don't mention the exclusive book not counting either, just the miniatures.
