Battalion Detachment +5CP
Chaplain - Litany of Faith, Bolt pistol, Litany of Hate, Catechism of Fire or Recitation of Focus (+1 to Wound or Hit) depending on the matchup - “Paragon of Iron” to take Target Protocols

Lieutenant - Chainsword, Master-crafted boltgun - “Relics of the Chapter” to take the Tempered Helm

Scout Squad 5x Camo cloak, Sniper Rifle

Tactical Squad 4x Boltgun, 1x Missile Launcher

Tactical Squad 4x Boltgun, 1x Missile Launcher

Battalion Detachment +5CP
Librarian - Boltgun, Force stave - Warlord “Storm of Fire"

Lieutenant - Chainsword, Master-crafted boltgun - The Ironstone

Tactical Squad 4x Boltgun, 1x Lascannon

Tactical Squad 4x Boltgun, 1x Lascannon

Tactical Squad 4x Boltgun, 1x Lascannon

Dreadnought - 2x Twin autocannon

Relic Sicaran Punisher Assault Tank - Heavy Bolter Sponsons

Spearhead Detachment +1CP
Iron Father Feirros

Contemptor Mortis Dreadnought - Cyclone missile launcher, 2x Kheres assault cannon

Devastator Squad - Armorium Cherub, 4x Grav-Cannon

Relic Leviathan Dreadnought - 2x Heavy flamer, 2x Hunter-killer missile, 2x Storm cannon array - "March of Ancients" and "Paragon of Iron" to take "Student of History"

Thunderfire Cannon

Drop Pod - Storm bolter

Tactics should be pretty straightforward. The Tactical Marines act as a screen against charges and take potshots with their heavy weapons, the tanks form a massive mobile fire battery, the TFire cannon can disrupt mobility like nobody's business, and the Devestators go into a Drop Pos and kill whatever they land next to. (12 shots hitting on 3s and 8 on 2s, rerollimg hits of 1 and all wound and damage rolls.) Should the Leviathan be locked in combat, he can consolidate away freely.

Depending on if Dreadnought characters can take relics, I may also pop one more Command Points pregame to give the Leviathan the Gorgon's Chain, reducing all wound rolls by 1.

I'm spending 4-5 CPs pregame, and have four set aside for the TFire cannon and Devestators, leaving me with 5-6 to use as needed on anything else.

i would take the las canon/ML in tacticals and make room for another dread/pred/vehicle. regular marines are just too weak.

every marine army will delete any troop choice with those -1ap doctrine stuff

also you really need just one lieutenant, change it for 1 tech marine

imho

Well, is this a revival of the Tactical squads?

Dropping the three Lascannons, two Missile Launchers, and saving 14 points by swapping the Lieutenant for a Techmarine only nets me 129 points. That's enough to take a Dreadnought (or a Vindicator, but I don't like Vindicators), but not a larger vehicle that can supply me with equivalent high-strength anti-tank. If the tactical marines aren't going to survive long enough to shoot their guns, then they also aren't doing their jobs properly as screens and I should rework this list from the ground up so that there's something protecting my tanks from an alpha strike charge. One weakness of this list is that it doesn't have all that much in the way of S8+: Most of the weapons are in that S5-7 sweet spot where it's good at shredding infantry and most tanks, but will struggle against heavy stuff. If there's a way to squeeze in 4-5 heavy weapons with high strength without sacrificing too much I'd go for it, but I can't think of anything that comes in at under 130 points right now.

I can swap out the Lieutenant either way, I was just worried about not having enough aura coverage from a single L.

They're only 12 points a pop now, I need Command Points, and I don't own much in the way of Primaris. It's them or scouts.

An idea - I could shuffle my relics and Warlord Traits, so that I have one Primaris Lieutenant with the vanilla repic that adds 3" to auras and the Storm of Fire trait, and a Techmarine.

The only issue is, I don't know if GW has any Primaris Lieutenant minis. Does anyone know where I could find a Primaris Lieutenant? I feel like the range of available minis here is lacking.

@Ro, I was joking about the Primaris Lieutenant. I'm pretty sure GW has released, like, a thousand of them.
