Anyone else notice Insp Gadget has a moustache in that video? I'm certain whichever geographical version I watched didn't.

We find comfort among those who agree with us - growth among those who don't. - Frank Howard Clark
The wise man doubts often, and changes his mind; the fool is obstinate, and doubts not; he knows all things but his own ignorance.
The correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularly if it is demonstrably nonsense!” Professor Brian Cox
I grew up with the fairly standard 80's ones...which are identifiable to even millenials and others who never watched the originals.
Ghostbusters was extremely iconic, sharing the normal theme song.
Transformers was hugely iconic as an intro song.
My personal favourite is hugely biased, but it's Robotech...and it's just a score, nothing catchy to sing along with:
A fan later remastered it with an HD video which is a nice nod:
A strong second place for me would be the sheer over-the-top madness of the later GI Joe Movie intro. The silliness of this fight is how I pictured all cartoons, and how I even picture Warhammer playing out (like the cover of a codex)
Also, on pure music...Voltron always got me going. It's up there with Robotech with me, the basic underlying them is legit...I watched some of the new Voltron show on Netflix (not bad), but the lack of the original theme kinda killed my enthusiasm for it.
Just the music:

honorable mention -- I know I know it's not a kids show, but..well...
cracking little tune -- well performed too -- can recommend that album entirely.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

90s era X-Men, Spider-Man or Batman. Might be mostly instrumental, but all are iconic and instantly recognizable by anyone who was a child in the 90s. /thread
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Good lord! Totally forgot about that show. It was a bit like Tales of the Unexpected where you stayed for the catchy title tune and then switched it over for something more interesting. Cheers for sharing that one!

Also randomly, I now know that Count Duckular was voiced by David Jason! After watching Mill's video and then getting curious at the voice actor.

"What's behind their stunt show? Only their uncle knows"
A riff so insanely catchy Lazerhawk used it on a track on their first album:
“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

The winner. That still gets stuck in my head, thirty years on.

And Keith Chegwin - it's really only him, Pat Sharpe and Timmy Mallett from that era we're still allowed to mention these days …

I'll be that guy that brings up much more recent shows, so here I go:
Opening for Digimon Frontier (in the west it's just Digimon season 4). It made the wise decision to due away with that terrible techno-rap and created the only good theme made for western audiences. Everything about it matches up with this season itself and I love it.
A close second though, and you know it is:

There's a lot of fond memories in here, but not enough of them began with being told to "Stand By For ACTION!". Gerry Anderson knew how to grab your attention right from the first moment.

Captain Scarlet, Stingray and Thunderbirds - fantastic shows!
Also totally random, we've got an early vhs of Stingray where they attack a giant undersea starfish city. Interestingly in the version we've got Stingray is armed with lasers in its torpedo tubes. Yellow lasers. It appears to be a short term choice as whenever I've seen the episode later or found clips its had the regular torpedoes in the forward bays.

For those wondering who The Goodies are, contemporaries of Monty Python. In their day, they were massive. Like, everywhere massive. Hit singles. Highly rated TV show. Comics.
There was a recent DVD boxed set release of every BBC episode ever made, soon to be superseded by one including the ITV episodes.
Now, it’s not especially cheap. But there is a great deal of content, and I highly recommend. Even the episodes which culturally show their age. What once was ripping it out of the system is now, well, definitely racist in its own way (black face, Apartheid South Africa).
Just watch them knowing that The Goodies we’re taking the piss out of such racist institustions. And effectively so.
Bonus fact? It’s also the only show known to have killed someone through sheer laughter. Episode is ‘Kung Fu Capers’ And yes. It is absolutely that funny. Though my personal favourite is ‘Bun Fight at the OK Tea Rooms’.
Sample of their glorious nonsense?
