This strat is worded 'after nominating a model to be your warlord, select one dreadnaught. That dreadnaught becomes a character etc etc'. It doesn't explicitly say you can only use it once so I would think the wording was specifically to stop you from selecting a dreadnaught as your warlord, but it's slightly ambiguous.

Yes, you can use it multiple times.

AFAIK, that is correct. You can't have a dreadnought with two traits, but you can have multiple character dreadnoughts.

I wouldn't be surprised that with the wording "...Select one IRON HANDS DREADNOUGHT model..." that they will FAQ the stratagem to be one use only, but until that time (which should be in a few days) knock yourself out with all of those character dreadnoughts.

Ummm if they didn't wrote that way you could nominate multiple dreadnoughts with 1 payment...That's what the wording is about. To make one use for one dreadnought.

But rule of 3 is the default for most games, so that is important.

You do make a good point though, that BA can take 6 Character dreads in a normal game already. Difference is IH are just stronger for other reasons than BA.

No, as the could have written it as "...Select an IRON HANDS DREADNOUGHT model..." which would still limit you to a single dreadnought.

The issue is shooting is so good. The lib dread doesnt shoot and the chaplain dread only has one shooting arm and expensive for the point.
