Are there any Space Marine chapters that would match up with any of the 8 Great Houses in Game of Thrones (Lannister, Stark, Tyrell, Baratheon, Greyjoy, Martell, Tully, Targaryen)? Anything remotely medieval/knightly.

While these are fictional houses, George R.R. Martin does draw parallels to real life houses/cultures. From what I’ve read the Lannisters and Starks are based on the houses Lancaster and York during the War of the Roses in England. Tyrell is apparently French based upon their heraldry and culture, Tully is based upon the Rhineland/Germany, Martell is a mixture of Wales and the Iberian Peninsula despite larger territories being around them. Greyjoy are Anglo-Saxon-Jute/Scandinavian Vikings due to their “rape and pillage” tactics. Wildlings are Scottish/Gaelic as seen as The Wall is used as a reference to Hadrian’s Wall. Any other connections?

30k Dark angels and grey knights in term of models; if you’re just looking for marine Armour similar to medieval, then Minotaurs fit too; for traitor marines: maybe iron warriors.

Not really. some take some knightly veneers but are more like knightly orders at best. if you want something like a great house of westros, you'd be better off looking to Imperial Knights,

Chapters are highly indivdual - you could easily make up one to fit - Space Wolves successor for Starks or Boltons, Imperial Fists successor for Baratheon, Blood Angels Successor for Lanisters,

Put Marines on Cold Ones or Similar as count as Wolfen for Targaryan? Might even get away with a full dragon instead of a gunship......

BUT a Knightly House or Astra Militarium regiment would actually be easier to have pretty much the same lore as the books/tv show:

Eg: Ice world where the cities are defended against monsters by ancient walls - the others could be Dark Eldar or similar or Plague Zombies.....

the problem with Marines is the complete lack of DYNASTIC politics. Marine chapters are hardly unpolitical beasts and several novels have suggested jockeying for power and influence among company captains is reasonably common but it's far far far from GOT

Agreed - this definately takes place in Knight Houses - in fact you can have all the herladry of your chosen houses - Targaryan, Stark whatever all over your Knight/s

Soup in some Guard as proxies for the armsmen and women of the House and you are sorted.

Another possible option would be White Scars as Dothraki and Inqusitor as Dany.....
