Subject: Decent heroic scale (28mm) vampire miniatures?

Am looking for a vampire character model that would fit in AoS. Am happy with either male or female as long as the model is impressive.
Have been searching, but am struggling a bit. Any recommendations would be hugely appreciated. UK suppliers only
Thanks.

Well if none of the GW characters float your boat then Avatars of War have both a male an female vamp available.
I've got a Dark Eldar Lhamian that I had planned on using as a vampire. The armour and general aesthetic of the model matches up quite well with the other GW vampires.

Thanks for the tips. Have gone for Mantic's Age of War Soul Reaver cavalry to use as Blood Knights and their Vanguard Hellequin as a mounted Vampire Lord.

Vanguard Hellequin model (top picture) turned out rubbish. Can only hope the Soul Reaver cavalry are better. If not, I'm giving up on Mantic models for good and AoS for the time being. Automatically Appended Next Post: It appears I will be sticking to 40k and GW miniatures.

When you say turned out rubbish, how do mean?
Older Mantic models like those Soul Reavers are fairly well known for being poor quality sculpts. Frankly, I think that's apparent from the picture you've posted.
The Avatars of War female vamp is far and away the best out there. However, you can still pick up plenty of Warhammer Fantasy vamps on ebay and some of those still hold up well as models
There's certainly no lack of 28mm vamps out there:
Reaper alone cover a bunch of styles

Thanks. Have checked out Reaper already.
Yes, Mantic's sculpts were bad, but the materials and the molding were even worse. Just massively disappointed.
Will be sticking to GW if I do decide to try again. Took a quick look at Dark Riders - could make a cheaper, easier alternative with decent models.

The Blood Bowl dark elves have a certain vampiric flair, I'm using them for my vampire team.

I also used this guy with a dark eldar head and a pair of dark elf swords to make a vampire. Looking back I wish I'd used an Empire sword.
