Hi!
I'm having troble getting a smooth transition between my layers. Can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong?

Nothing. You just didn't do the subsequent steps.

Blend the layers by applying thinner layers of the mixture of the two colors.

Basecoat > wash > layer > highlight > thin wash > blend > final highlight

Thanks for the reply! Could you be a little more specific? Also, any good indicators on when the paint is thinned out too much or not enough?

Yeah seconded, I see nothing wrong really, you just need to keep working the layers until you get the transition nice and smooth. It just takes practice. There's no real indication of correct paint consistency, one day you will be just be able to tell, it will be like muscle memory. But you're on the right track, keep at it.

When you're applying the thinned layers to blend it, it should almost feel like the color isn't strong/noticeable enough. If there's a noticeable color difference during the application, that'll mean theres too much pigment - wipe it off immediately and thin it more.
