The king gives any base that has one or more skeletons on the base + 1 to wound and +1 to hit (in that players turn only) and a good chance of giving something good movement. It seems reasonable to focus on keeping him alive. I wonder if there is a better way to do it then the amulet?
Also, I should note that not everything in the army is overcosted. Chariots in particular arr very fairly priced. Compare them to the hogriders who are considered good and the charriots come out on topp.
Its over costed b.c they don't want people "wanting" that army, but are there so players that have the army can still play.
Also there is Gryph feather charm, -1 to be hit and +1 movement,
IDK if you value e-1 to be hit over no rend,
IMO Ethereal amulet is best for him seeing his stats.
