The tomb king on chariot. He is over 400 point so you want to build your army around him if you take him. How do people equip him these days? Is it just an etherial amulet? Perhaps make him a wizard so he can cast shield?

Honestly not aware of any way to have tomb kings at all in AoS, so no way to answer this.

They are legal to play in all game modes, even tournaments, https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/AoS_Compendiums/warhammer-aos-tomb-kings-en.pdf

Read this, might help. https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Age_of_Sigmar/Tactics/Warscrolls_Compendium/Tomb_Kings

EDIT: Holy crap, i didn't know the Exalted King was that good, for sure costly, but his rules are solid. He is about 150pts to costed tho lol. But the full army is over costed on purpose.

No the 1d4chan does not help a lot. The king has the same saves as a stonehorn (although less wounds) and the stonehorn swears to the amulet.

The king gives any base that has one or more skeletons on the base + 1 to wound and +1 to hit (in that players turn only) and a good chance of giving something good movement. It seems reasonable to focus on keeping him alive. I wonder if there is a better way to do it then the amulet?

Also, I should note that not everything in the army is overcosted. Chariots in particular arr very fairly priced. Compare them to the hogriders who are considered good and the charriots come out on topp.

Its over costed b.c they don't want people "wanting" that army, but are there so players that have the army can still play.

Also there is Gryph feather charm, -1 to be hit and +1 movement, IDK if you value e-1 to be hit over no rend, IMO Ethereal amulet is best for him seeing his stats.
