So am playing around with some alterations to my army list post Psychic Awakening. I want a competitive list without being ultra cheesy.

Biggest changes are putting the prototype amplified ion accelerators on both Riptides and advanced EM Scrambler on Ghostkeel. (Able to do with the Emergency Dispensation 2 relics Stratagem)

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Can you run two or more of the same prototype system? I didn't see anything that causes a restriction, but its probably not what they were thinking.

If not... then oh my

Hi mate, a solid list overall
A few thoughts:

Especially seeing as you've not taken any T'au Sept relics or characters, I'd consider switching your Brigade to a custom Sept of Hardened Warheads & Stabilisation Systems.

Next I'd change each of the Broadside's Target Locks to Shield Generators (+6pts total). This way they keep the extra -1 AP on all their guns, don't suffer the move/heavy penalty & get a 4++.

The Riptides can lose their Target Locks now and get a Velocity Tracker (-4pts total). Bear in mind, if a deepstriking foe has <FLY>, which most do, this cancels the EWO's -1 to Hit.

I like the mobile Ghostkeel and now he no longer needs the Target Lock either. Take it off and put on any other Support System for the same price (or cheaper), except for the Advanced Targeting System. Alternatively, get another Shield Drone.

Provided your Firewarriors are running Pulse Carbines your Ethereal, Cadres & Striketeams are well-buffed and optimised.

Something else to note:
Very good use of the Sa'cea Sept rerolls, but I do want to point out two potential issues for using two separate Septs -
Firstly, your Drones won't be able to use Saviour Protocols for your Marksmen or Coldstars. Not a huge issue with them being <CHARACTERS>, but something to be wary of.
Secondly, your Kauyon/Mont'ka won't affect anyone other than your Coldstars and Marksmen.

But these are only issues if you hadn't already prepared for this.

Hope this has been of some help, from one T'au player to another
