Hi everyone, I am considering starting a faction in AoS/Warcry which would also be sort of compatible with my current CSM in 40k and I am looking at hedonites of slaanesh and possibly khorne demons.
I have some questions and require some guidance so sorry if I sound like i do not know anything.

Firstly in my current area it seems that people play the new 1k point meeting engagement mostly. I would like to know how a list would differ between a standard 1k point pitch battle vs a 1k point meeting engagement.
I was looking to start wiith 1 KoS, 1 Exalted chariot, 1 Contorted Epitome and 2 x 10 daemonettes which adds up to 1k points but need some advice if this is feasible.

With the new incoming warcry cards, i could possibly have seekers as well since its part of a start collecting and i could maybe throw in a fiends box and be able to have 3/4 of the warcry units available.

Would the above be a good start to dipping into AoS/Warcry???

I don't play Meeting Engagements, or play Daemons so I cant really help with specifics.

Until someone can chip in with actually helpful advice, what I will say is that Slaanesh is considered a very strong faction, especially KoSs. So looks like you're probably on the right track.

Keepers are very strong. 1 per 1000pts isn’t unfair but won’t make friends. 1.5/1000pts (3 at 2000pts) will give most people fits. Epitome is an amazing caster and will annoy people as well. The models you suggested will definitely give you a strong 1k list. Not broken, but very strong.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Thanks for the input. I am not aiming to be broken. Mostly want a simple list that can hold its own and using models i like. Good to know that this list should be able to work.

Depending on the opponent that 1k list could be between 'strong' and 'unbeatable'. Generally speaking with Hedonites that will be your main concern; the army being too powerful rather than too weak.

Thats fair. I knew before the nerf that they were said to be really strong. Just not sure where they lie now that the nerf bat hit. So wanted some opinions from you guys here.

But it is good to know that this list is still considerably strong. Since most of the games here happen at 1k and use meeting engagement, I wanted a base to work on before possibly expanding out. I am kinda over the whole iron hands / space marines on 40k and want to try some aos.

The main nerf was a 50% increase in summoning costs. It helps, but an army going from summoning 3x what it should to 2× what it should still leaves much to be desired. The other nerf was to the locus of diversion, which was well done and brought it into line. However, neither of those things touched how strong Slaanesh gets with character spam or that some options simply cost less points than they should.

Something specific I should call out is the sinistrous hand option on the KoS. That weapon is worth 50-100 points more than than any of the others, it is that much of an upgrade. So using or not using it can have a dramatic impact on your performance.

Well i kinda like the whole hero hammer thing, my KoS is gonna be Sinistrous hands, traits as thrill seeker and spell as progeny of damnation. I'm thinking thermalrider cloak for the relic
Chariot will be born of damnation and epitome with hysterical frenzy

It is all about what you are up against and how strong you want it to be.
