So I have already read Of Honour and Iron and it was pretty cool. The Iron Warriors are quite sympathetic and I like how the new Primaris Marines are just kicking asses around. Many solid action scenes.

I would like some recommendations on Warhammer 40k novels set after the Great Rift.

Two things I refuse to read are poorly-set-up betrayal by an already annoying-as-hell character (instead of redeeming them), and stories where the ending is pointless (looking at Wild Rider or any Eldar gak written by the Gav Thorpe who should focus on Dark Angels instead). I am looking for a lot of actions as well, so the Agents of the Throne series is not for me.

Bolter porn is fine. I prefer but not demand niche opponents like Necron, Drukhari, and Tau rather than the common Orks and Chaos.

Thank you.

Technically it happens pre-rift at the start of the story, but I strongly recommend Devastation of Baal. You got a bit of chaos but it is primary Blood Angel v Tyranid. It is also very Helm's Deep.
