I play a Word Bearers HH army. I really wanted to buy the Forgeworld Gal Vorbak models. They look awesome, but are so far from WYSIWYG I cant use them

Here are some conversions I made using cloaked bodies from Bits of War and GW CSM bits with some Tyranid bits for mutations.

I actually have two squads but one is not quite done. If you play Word Bearers, you NEED to be using these guys, there rules are very effective and fun.

No claims made to good paintjob, but I think modeling-wise this was a a good alternative to the FW models.

P.S. If interested in this conversion, the Gal Vorbak are supposed to be (Bulky), so instead of using a standard 40mm base, I stacked 2 40mm poker chips as a base to raise their height profile a bit taller than a standard base. This makes them look a little bigger, as does extended arms posing and using heads that have trophies or horns or anything that makes them taller. I think the last edition CSM backpacks also help make them look taller due to the raised vents.
