I’m a big fan of the Death Guard, I dig their whole rotten and corrupted aesthetic. And I think it’s really cool that you can see the origins of things like the Bloat Drone in the 30k lineup (though they messed up the Deathshroud). But what were the Blight-Haulers originally? Like miniature tanks? Some sort of missile/melta turret?

I don't believe they had an equivalent. Presumably they were an original design like the Plagueburst Crawler, but that now seems to have been retconned from "Mortarion came up with an original design for an armoured vehicle" and is now "Mortarion copied the Arquitor Bombard and hoped none would notice." So I wouldn't be surprised if 30k saw an 'original' version of the Blight-Haulers before too long, probably something akin to Rapier Laser Destroyers.

I like the plagueburst. It looks like an improvement on something rather than made up from scratch.
