Just as the title suggests, this page is designed to carry a list of units with data-sheets but do not have a physical model, either because they never did or because they were discontinued. The lists are divided into 40K and AoS / WFB. Each list is then further broken down by faction. Any suggestions or corrections are welcome!

are we counting the Chaos abyss cultists from Blackstone Fortress?

Technically, the champion of the Cultists of the Abyss has a weapon not available to standard unit, and they all have grenades modelled.

The cultists from the dark vengeance box set has Champion, flamer and heavy stubber.

Basically everything marked Hellforged has not actual model. I spoke about this to FW directly a while ago. They said just convert it.

The DG Chaos Lord has a model. And it's the reason why it doesn't have actual Nurgle rules (disgustingly resilient, T5, 5" movement). Otherwize you'd have to mention DG Possessed and sorcerer as well.
And how are hellforged units missing? Just because the Kit doesn't actually say hellforged? Really?

DKOK Grenadiers

Basically all the characters from the badab war. Most never had models, and of the ones that did, only Tyberos, Lugft Huron, Asterion Moloc and Ivanus Enkomi survived the culling a year ago.

Why do you need specific models for hellforged? They would be the same as the chaos land raider, predator, etc: a regular kit with the chaos vehicle sprue. The dreadnoughts are particularly easy as most legions have their own contemptor and leviathan. The Night Lords versions are ready to go as is, as Night Lords where basically chaos to begin with.

The options from the GW webstore are:

Chaos Lord with Jump Pack (can't take jump pack)
Chaos Lord (can't take thunder hammer)

Yeah. It’s a list of models that still have usable data cards but are OOP or don’t actually have a model.

So just paste the tables of contents from the Legends PDFs into your list, lol. That's literally the point of Legends.

Aside from Shrikes, this seems entirely a Forgeworld thing.

Its less 'Warhammer Units without Models' than an out-of-date FW catalog.

Shrikes were a FW thing - at least at one time you could get wings for them from FW, but they got removed a few years back

Yes and no. Oddly, the old Dregmek Blitzkart repurposed as a Deffkopta is still available to buy, however the AOBR ones never got released on their own and went OOP when that box did.

Well damn, I sold all my AOBR ork stuff a few years ago thinking I could just rebuy everything.

Technically speaking, there is no actual kit for the Dark Angels Ravenwing Talonmaster. To make one you're just supposed to combine a regular Land Speeder kit with some parts from the Ravenwing upgrade sprue. Not sure if that meets the criteria, but...

I'm sitting here on a bunch of Space marines on Jetbikes, a few Guardsmen on Jetbikes, a dreadnought with two power fists/stormbolters and a jetpack, and quite a few other ancient models that'd love to see play, but...

But yes the entire Corsair catalouge has the issue except reversed.

Technically there's no Sanguinary Priest with Jump Pack model, which is an option that was added back in for Blood of Baal. IT's the world's easiest "conversion", but still...
