One guy in our group bought us all the full rules PDF a couple years back.
I held off reading them for almost a year because I didn't want to collect and build minis/scenery for the 30s/40s, too.
Once I read them and we played a couple of games, I found out you can use the rules for just about any setting including necromunda (you just have to stat your gang).
