I finally bought my first resin miniatures and they arrived today - 2nd edition of Raging Heroes Blood Vestals. The finish is smooth and there aren't any seams, but holy crap there's a lot of flash. Is this normal or has the eBay seller sent me recasts? It feels like I'm going to have to sculpt these necks myself as the flash is as thick as the neck. Similarly the boots are high-heeled and there's flash between the tiny heel and the foot that I just don't feel confident in removing - happily I can leave this as I think it looks better. The rest of the parts are fine, it's just all of the heads/necks that will potentially be a nightmare.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I can't see how I can cut off the thick wedge between the chin and neck as it's all the same thickness unless I try to rescape these areas. Is this normal for resin?

Different companies produce different quality results with their casting (mostly where they place vents and gates on the model), I would say that seems pretty typical for RH but I do not have any of those specific models so could not tell you for sure. A lot of the stuff I got from their kickstarters were similarly problematical, sprue vents being on faces and in the recesses of cloaks being the two more annoying examples.
