Out of curiosity, I've been looking at Warmachine and Hordes again. I noticed that Circle Orboros does not have a battlegroup available via Privateer Press' webstore. Is it out of production, out of stock, or just in a weird situation at this time?

Probably delayed by Warcaster production and their desire to finally control their own production. Then the quarantine hit.

Unless you really like working with crappy PVC plastic, it might be for the best that you missed it.

Have you checked you normal online retailers. And seeing that your US based probably Discount Games Inc. Battleboxes are in stock in most of the online stores in the UK. I don't think I have ever ordered anything direct from PP.

So you are looking for specific boxed sets then? a battlegroup is just the casters/warlocks beasts/jacks in game terms. it is no different then buying them each separately if you don't want to wait.

I've looked at every daggone retailer I can find. Friend of mine really likes Tanith the Feral Song and her bonded warbeast and since she isn't available by herself and neither my friend or myself have played before he liked the idea of the battlebox as an introductory point without having to spend too much getting into things.

I've heard the PVC warpwolves are completely sold out at the moment. No clue how PP plans to put them back in stock.

IIRC, the battleboxes were pretty meh. Some were downright awful. They are designed to give you a chance to see all the rules in a starting box. Really bad PVC models (like, OMG, I spent money on this?!?), combined with models that share little to no synergy can really make for a bad experience. Many are a one trick pony with only one viable way to play them. Your best chance of having some kind of positive play experience is to play only boxed battlegroup games, and even then, you will quickly find out who has the best boxed battlegroup (hint: It's not Circle, but they ain't the worst either).

The contents of the Battlebox are:
Tanith
Pureblood Warpwolf
Wild Argus
Gorax

Everything else in the box...
• Basic Training Tutorial Guide
• Battle Map
• Introductory Guide
• HORDES: Primal Rules Digest
• 18” Ruler
• 4 Six-sided Dice
• 10 Fury Tokens
• 3 Spell Tokens
• Obstacle Card

All of this stuff you can get separately or probably already have. Rules and cards are online for free, you should already have a tape measure and dice, and just about anything can be a token.

I apologize. Looks like Tanith isn't available separately. I could have sworn last year that PP said due to the quality of the plastic, that they were going to make all the battlegroup Warcasters and Warlocks available separately in white metal. Now I'll have to go digging through my collection because I could have sworn I have a couple of the new battlegroup casters in metal...

On a side note, PP does not make the Battlegroup boxes in house. They are all from a factory in China. Probably the reason why you can't get one right now is due to the Coronavirus disrupting everything.

best brace for let down, Tanith is one of the worst models PP have ever made out of whatever terrible material the starter boxs are made from, oddly Loki is one of the prettiest models Circle have
