Basically jet packs used by Corax or Dante, how fast can they go? Can they pass the sonic barrier?

They are designed for short powered hops or slowing a drop descent from altitude. They are not dedicated flight packs. Also being pedantic I assume you mean supersonic in an earth type atmosphere. If they point them straight down, maybe. In an airless low gravity environment, I'm sure you could get to 340m/s eventually.

The space marine videogame has them, that should give you some kind of idea, even if games aren't always 100% accurate.
