I found this Grey Knights picture on the web recently, and I'm pretty sure it's my new favorite piece of 40k art. Have you seen that armor? Other than the absurdly tiny heads, that is the most badass armor I've ever seen, including the Emperor's.

I was wondering if this art is official? And if so, do we know the artist? I need more of his work in my life. Thanks!

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move. - Douglas Adams

Afaik that was a piece of fan art, but its quality is so good a lot of people thought it was official.

The artist has been on deviant art for years:

Did a quick google of the artist it's accredited to - here's his website https://theostylianides.carbonmade.com/about

and it would seem like he worked for GW at some point, so provisionally, yes, this is official?

This specific piece was commissioned for a local 40k tournament event and was not one used by GW directly.

The tiny heads are always jarring. Yes, I understand that power armor is not so much something you wear as something you get inside. But the helmets are proportionate with the rest of the armor... which means the eyes of the wearer would not even line up with the eyes of the helmet.

Other than that, this is indeed very nice art.
