Updated for the new Power Levels:
Lost 15 Tac Marines, gained Attack Bike. Alternatively could trade 5 Scouts and the Attack Bike and be 1 point short.

So I'm toying with a Crusade list of Old School Marines.

I figure starting with a BTN is a good place so I have 2 HQ, 3 Troops, 1 Elite, 1 Fast and 1 Heavy.

Spending all 5 Requision Points:
CPT: Chapter Master, R Burning Blade, WT Forge Master.
Lib: Chief Librarian. R Obsidian Aquila

What do yall think?
Is this a good starting point?
Should I spend the Requisition to have my CPT be a Chapter Master? What about upgrading the Librarian to a Chief Librarian? Both of those have to be done when the unit is purchased.
Should I wait for leveling to add Relics or Warlord Traits?

You know that relics, warlord traits, and special rules that improve stats on units (like your commander) require spending requisition points and increase the Crusade Point cost of the models, right?

I'm in a very similar boat, I want my Captain to end up a chapter master with a relic and warlord trait, but I don't want to spend most of my requisition points right up front on it.

I'm trying using Infiltrators in my list instead of scouts. They get similar rules and have twice as many wounds and close combat attacks. I'll let you know how it goes.

My main worry is that your regular marine groups have meltas and are on foot. A swift enemy won't let them get into range of his tanks because he will move away (for example, my own crusade list has antitank flyers with enough range to stay well away) and thus, those meltas are reduced to fighting infantry.
Plasma just does that faster and better -- kill two primaris a round instead of roll a single die to wound or overkill one.

I think the bikes have the mobility for making that a non factor and thier meltas kind of scare me, and I think the ven dread will do well firing from the back, so its not a bad antiarmor mix for the power level. Especially if you throw in all the missles as krak missles in a pinch.

I honestly don't know if I could beat this list with my crusade group, as gaurd always walks uphill aginast marines. I spent 3 requisiton points up front for a relic, a warlord trait, and to upgrade my inquisitor to have extra psy attack, power, deny, and be -1 to wound. I figure that it will be a bigger disadvantage to meet someone who has played a few rounds already and has bigger pile of relics and warlords, than to be letting a 50 pl tyranid player have 3 extra cp over me .. but no relic, no warlord, nothing.

So I am planning to spend Requisition on Relic The Burning Blade and the Warlord Trait Forge Master. That is 2 Points.

I was thinking about Chapter Master, but was think that if my guys are the 3rd Company, why is the Chapter Master Leading them? My next thought was that if I want him to be the CM he has to start that way, but can get the other options when he levels up.

I am planning to spend Requisition to upgrade the Librarian when he levels up. I am looking at giving him the Obsidian Aquila. The Goal is to make him a Buff Bot. He has 2 Buff Spells and the Relic will give a 6+ FnP.

I was thinking the same of swapping out the Tactical Meltaguns for Plasma. The range and slowness makes more sense. I had only Chosen Melta because they are Salamanders.

Further inspection, reminded me that the Bikers I bought have Plasmaguns.

So I need to update this list.

I also have a Witch Hunter Inquisitor and a Vindicare (V on the way form a friend).

I think I will update the List in the original post.

Tac 1st will have SW w/SGT and 2nd half HW

Also Chapter Master only costs 1 Requisition not 2 like it does for Command Points, but it will add 2 Crusade Points.

I'm kind of thinking Draconic Aspect, sticking with the buff theme.

Otherwise, I don't know what to take.

Update:

All reports show Salamanders playing their reroll to hit.

But they keep the reroll to wound and ignore AP 1.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, but the SW and HW just got worse.

New Power Levels are up and I just Smacked Hard.

Which does support the argument that all Marines in Power Armor are going to be 2 Wounds. Primaris and Old School.

The Crusade I'm involved in involves an Ork player and my Space Marines, so we made the decision collectively to ignore the new Power Levels until later. I hate to think how much requisition I'd have to spend just to keep my current Order of Battle.
