What I meant specifically is can he be the general of an army for Maggotkin or Blades, as opposed to just Slaves?

He can be included/ be the general of each God's book as well as Slaves due to having all 4 God Keywords.

An interesting follow-up question I had is how does he interact with the Warshrines blessing when he's in a Non Slaves army?

As far as I know he's only limited to one Keyword when fielded in Slaves. So no matter which one you choose he'd get the additional benefit if I'm interpreting it correctly.
