“Joelhammer” is a small, invitational Warhammer 40k streaming event created to raise money for St. Vincent’s Special Needs School. Instead of hosting a graduation party, I am holding a 9th Edition 40k mini-tournament, with some of the great, veteran players that can help us all learn the ins-and-outs of 9th Edition changes. The best part is that we'll be streaming the whole event! You can watch and learn LIVE from the comfort and safety of your own home.

Come watch players such as Sean Nayden, Kurt Clauss, and many other top players from the North-Eastern United States roll some dice to raise money for our cause!

This event was inspired by my older brother, Joel Schutz, who was a former student at St.Vincent’s and a massive fan of Warhammer 40k. Joel could not do many things an average person would take for granted. He couldn’t walk or talk, and he struggled to breathe every day of his life. Although he could not play by himself, my dad and I would help him build, paint and play with us. Playing together was one of our favorite times being together.

Joel passed away on February 3rd, 2016. Although his life was filled with pain, he managed to persevere and inspire everyone around him with his sense of humor, gentle spirit, and love for God and family. In his memory, I want to remember him now that I’ve graduated from High School, and use this 40k event to help the other kids at St. Vincent’s get through the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Covid-19 has wreaked havoc across the world and although these times can seem dark, there is light at the end of the tunnel. With this event, we aim to use Joel’s story to remind us that we can choose to live life fully and not in fear. Even though Joel is no longer with us, he can still inspire us to push through, and enjoy the hobby he, and so many people worldwide, love.

Again, we encourage you to come join us for a great time! Learn about the changes to the game and get some tips and insight on how to adapt. Thank you all in advance for your support!
