I want them! How do I get them?
You can pre-order both the Imperial Fists and Salamanders figures from Saturday the 12th of September. They’ll be available to order for one week and delivered into your eager hands next year after being made to order by Bandai. Don’t worry about us selling out – everyone who orders a figure will get one. There’s no way the Imperial Fists would be found derelict in their duty, after all!

The Imperial Fists action figure represents a Primaris battle-brother from the sixth squad of the Chapter’s Third Company. He is armed with an auto bolt rifle that’s fitted with an auxiliary grenade launcher, and he also comes with a combat knife. He has three choices of hand for each arm, allowing you to pose him in a wide variety of ways as he defends the walls of Terra (or, you know, your bookcases).

His cousin from the Salamanders is armed with an ornate bolt rifle inspired by a design in Codex Supplement: Salamanders. His markings show that he belongs to the second squad of Second Company, and like the Imperial Fists figure, he comes with a combat knife and a variety of hands to hold the weapons in. Just keep him away from candles – you know what Salamanders are like with fire.

so not limited (to 9000) like the Ultramarine, but made to order with a 1 week window

I’ve never owned action figures, even as a child. Since I play salamanders what If I were to buy this for my 5 year old, how long would it last before he twists off an arm or something?

Also I checked online, its supposed to cost about 100 dollars. Is that a normal price for this kind of bandai figure? If they are built quite sturdy and have a ton of articulation, I could see it being a popular toy for him.

Second question, My son has a twin sister, are there similar figures that are female? A strong warrior woman kind of thing maybe? Otherwise she will be dissapointed obviously..

Sadly, no female figures - yet.

These aren't really designed as toys for play, but for display. If you're looking for something a bit more durable (and definitely cheaper!), look for the McFarlane versions. They're only about 20 dollars and I strongly suspect they're more durable than these - akin to the collector figures you see in store these days like from Alien, Terminator, Godzilla and the like.

It never ends well

These toys do NOT pass the safety test for children's toys. They are collector's display items with articulation to make your display have action(they also do effects sets to go along these sorts, too). Regular play WILL break them and unlike the average retail toy, they are not designed for repair of limbs popping off and the like.

Yes, that's the typical price range for this style of figure(look up SH Figuarts and browse the various ranges for it).
