How do?
So this thread’s inspiration comes from my (currently) one and only experience of FFG’s rather wonderful Rogue Trader RPG.
For those unfamiliar, FFG used to hold the license for 40k RPG’s, and they produced various sub lines. And in amongst that was original background, tech and equipment and that. Being an RPG, they were able to really go wild in terms of creativity, and I guess we can treat it all as canonical, in so far as everything and nothing about 40k is canon.
My favourite? The Adeptus Sororitas Drop Cathedral.
It does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a full blown Cathedral, deployed like a Drop Pod (though one assumes at a less frantic speed).
Not only is the concept brilliant, and so very, very 40k? But my Rogue Trader had a lot of fun with one. The exact specifics are a bit hazy, as it was some years ago. But my fleet essentially wound up in a previously uncharted system during a period of civil war. Sensing an opportunity, and having picked up a minor order of Sororitas previously in the campaign? I naturally persuaded their commanding officer (sorry, can’t remember their ranking structure) to deploy.
Now, the Faith to the Faithless argument was easy. But persuading her to deploy slap bang in the middle of No Man’s Land took a bit more. Way I figured it, the Drop Cathedral deploying there would allow us to contact the natives, without taking sides.
Worked like a charm! We found out so much about the system that way, and ended up with a newly converted mass of True Believers we could easily arm in order to win the conflict for whatever side we eventually chose.
Sadly the rest of that tale must remain untold, as it turns out jumping off a wrecked Warlord Titan to escape Genestealers, then having a fully armoured Deathwatch Marine land on top of you is a smidge on the fatal side of life experiences!
But what about you? Particularly keen to hear from those more familiar with the system than my single (highly enjoyable) outing.

Black Crusade ("the chaos one") was probably our most fun outing.
I refer you to this thread:

Subjugator scout titans - the Slaaneshi warhound equivalent, used to be in epic.
Man portable ectoplasma cannon. Garuantees massive damage... possibly to the enemy.
Tempest bolts - a haywire emp bolt, very nice against vehicles.
Dark Heresy Daemonhunter is great. One thing that's quite cool is a guide to what a grey knights personal heraldry actually means.

Honestly my best memories is from characters dying, often in very brutal fashion in the cold dark uncaring setting. We played a lot of dark heresy, the inquisitorial version of the rpg and also the original one I think. This one time an unbound deamonhost manifested in a very small airplane we where in. Death and madness ensued. Hell, we probably lost more chars to fear then to actual combat.
That said what I remember was the best item wise about the game was how trash and expendable you where. If you had an autogun (And knew how to use it) you where cool. You had a freaking autogun that could shoot and pin. When enemies came at you with boltguns or auto cannons or plasmas you held your autogun and prayed as hard as you could to the Emperor. As previously stated messy deaths often ensued.
One time we pooled resources to buy a grenade launcher. For a time we where the kings of combat, grenades where so ridiculously powerfull. At least until the only one who knew how to shot it died.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary. |

I have run both low level games - last survivors of guard force trying to survive all the way up to one with Inquisitor, Dark Angels Librarian, Eldar Scout and Imperial Assassin.
In the latter it was more about politics than equipment (they started with a custom Light Cruiser and plenty of toys)- and culminated in destroying a Space Hulk
Early on they did find a Slaan in Stasis which was a major plot point and could be classed as equipment

A psychotrope grenade. One of my PCs used it in a crowded room just as the bad guy was trying to escape. Mad chaos ensued.

The "hyperwave clarion cannon" was a sonic weapon that worked like a flamer and had a chance of misfiring and killing the user. It did massive damage in a gigantic aoe, though. We never saw a picture of one, but I imagine that it looks like an evil alphorn.
It was manufactured by a Slaanesh-aligned world in the Screaming Vortex. Actually, the Screaming Vortex is an amazing setting heavily inspired by The Inferno; if anyone's a literature nerd there's soooo much to be inspired by there, so many cool planets and locales.
