Subject: Citadel Medium Base brush - size in normal brush ranges?

Hey all
Despite having a number of brushes, I don't have anything that approaches the size of Citadel's Medium Base brush. Plenty of other brushes, but they're mostly small 0 or 1 brushes, Citadel dry brushes, or larger brushes. And most of the larger brushes I keep for applying clear coats, inks (using Citadels Medium Shade brush for example) working with oils on aircraft models, or drybrushing.
I don't like using a brush for multiple things. So for example if I've used it for clear coats, it only ever gets used for clear coats.
Inevitably I end up painting things like 32mm bases with either a brush that is far too large (I tried it with a Daler Rowney, red handled, white bristle, size 8 flat brush last night, it was a pita!) or far too small.
So, would anyone here be able to tell me what size brush (like 2, 3, 4 etc) in normal brush ranges would be the equivalent of a Citadel Medium Base brush?
Thanks in advance.

The most basic brush which is usable for almost anything is #2.

I used to use Citadel and from my experience, each brand has their own size category that are all bloody different...
Closest I've come to matching the base size is somewhere around a #2 or 3 series 7 Windsor Newton

Thanks. That gives me the ball park to look for. Had a feeling it would be about size 2 or 3.
Usually I do bases and large areas with an airbrush, for some reason though I just can't be bothered getting the compressor and stuff out at the moment.

From Wikipedia (and verified by other online sources):
Artists' brushes are usually given numbered sizes, although there is no exact standard for their physical dimensions.
So one company's size 0 may be another company's size 1 and a third company may have a brush sized somewhere in between.

I use a Rosemary and Co Series 66 #2 (thats the pure kolinsky filbert tip) and its the same width as the GW Medium Base, just a bit over half the length.

I found a nice brand called Roublouf with quite good kolinsky brushes.
Their category size it's 1'5 to 1'7 the more similar to the citadel Medium base and considering Humbroldt size 2 are quite similar to Gw medium one.
I'd say try your luck testing between those numbers 1'5 to 2 and check if you have any luck.
P.S: the ones i use have basic number from Modelism sizes so it may worth a shot.

Thanks guys. I realised I bought a #2 cheap brand (apparently sable) brush the other week for applying plastic cement on a project. Seems a good size for a a "base" brush also.
So I've bought another of them.
I'm an animal with brushes so investing in a Rosemary & Co., Windsor & Newton, etc. brush just for base coating a few bases isn't really what I want to be doing.
