So after a friend of mine kindly supplied me with some of the basic unit profiles, I've begun working up a tentative 1000 point 1st Legion list.

Now I'm sure this will be far from ideal, but I'm trying to only work with what I've currently got. I don't want to drop too much cash on any big ticket items yet, if I can help it. Not until I suss out whether Heresy is something I want to pursue properly.
But as I mentioned in my other thread, I'm not overly competitive, I'll run what I think is fun or interesting mostly. That being said, I don't want to hamstring myself too badly.

As to the list itself,

As it is, that comes 908 points. I'm a bit on the fence about what to spend the last 92 points on.
My thoughts are...
-2 Apothecaries...90 points.
-1 Apothecary & 1 Techmarine...90 points.
-1 Consul-Chaplain w/combat shield...90 points.
All of these I can rustle up without any hassle, and I feel all have their merits.

Some of the other options available to me are upgrading the plasma guns for plasma repeaters/burners. Dropping the combi-plasma and taking the Chaplain with a Terranic Greatsword. Or even taking a pair of rapiers with heavy bolters and giving them Molecular acid shells. (Although I'm not sure if I'd be able to since the Rapier itself doesn't have Legiones Astartes.)

Any input or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Any feedback at all, really!

1 Apothecary is probably a good shout, and look into the Scions of 'x'-wing stuff for general boosts or for flavour.
Assuming you're playing against other people that are also big block of infantry + dreadnought/ nothing tougher than a Contemptor not sure you need to add much,

You should buy extra c/c sword for all your tacticals though otherwise you miss out on the Legion trait

The 1st legion also has the dread wing Interemptors I would look into adding these into your list they are a beastly unit

I'm following this thread and glad you brought them up. Those models haven't been released yet, have they? I don't see them on the FW store.

They are released but last I checked out of stock. Quite nasty, but will definitely draw attention.

I’m wondering when the Deathwing Companions will be released those models look amazing
