Here's something I've been working for the past month. The Helbrute and Chaos Lord were built earlier this year.

Thanks for the comments!

Continued painting one Helbrute that I started in December 2019.

The intended colour scheme back then was my old (that I had already used in late 90's) dirty bone white with the old Citadel Flesh Wash on shoulder pad rims, knee caps etc., coupled with my more recent affection to bright warm (but dirty) yellow. But I decided to finish the Helbrute so it matches the more recent Nurgle stuff I've done.

I had ran out of the divine Waywatcher Green Glaze, and they don't make that one anymore. So tried mixes of Mortarion Green, Tesseract Glow and Lamenters Yellow. They're great! And I think it's very good to have some slight variations in the green, yellow and orange glazes that are super important to this scheme. Yet to do a few more glazes, base and final highlights. Surely add lots of rust and slime and mucus as well.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I'm trying to scratch build some super simple Blight/Bloat/Plague Drones. Dug up the old bag of the cheapest modelling clay on the market. Rolled up sausages. Used the round back of a saw (very thin handle of a brush or such would do the same) to create a few wrinkles. Then bent to shape and let to dry. All in all it took under 10 minutes to make six of these. Green Stuff on the "face" plates. The eyes were just pressed on with a cap of an empty super glue tube. Very nice! Now trying to come up with an idea how to make the propeller systems. Not gonna use lids from kids food mush tubes.

Lots of works in progress. A duo of possessed Rhinos (gonna be a trio). Three Shrimp Drones, a Noxious Blightbringer, and a unit of Cultists.

I love the "classic chaos" feel of everything. Profound use of bits.

Absolutely inspiring, great work! Makes my DG guys seem parade clean and tidy in comparison. Will be very interesting to see how the rhinos turn out.

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units."
Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?"
Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?"
GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

Here's a few characters I started working on the last year. No more progress with this Nurgle project atm, as I started a completely new one (with an emphasis on just a few big models in the "army", so Demon Princes, Helbrutes and some demonic engines and probably a scratch built Lord of Skulls on the way later...).

Can you already tell who these guys are going to represent, or what (if any) classic miniatures they took inspiration from? And btw thanks for the nice comments everyone!
