All, the intention of this thread is to share where we are located and hopefully get some WFB games going with others not too far from you.

I’m in Columbus, Ohio, US. I have a small group of 3-4 guys who meet up about once a month to play WFB at my house. We are always looking for others interested in playing and would eventually like to start a map campaign!

Proudly howling at 40k games since 1996.

West Lafayette, Indiana. My brother is my regular opponent, and he lives about 20 minutes away. I know there's probably more players close by, but we are usually too busy to try to network. We also play mildly houseruled 6th edition. I post our batreps on classichammer.com and link them here.

EDIT: Moved to Monticello, Indiana back in April.

I've been watching this board more in the past couple months, as TW;Warhammer, Black Library, and WFRP have renewed my interest in WFB. I'm actually located in Columbus, too, so I'll be sure to PM you when COVID calms down. I don't have an army yet, but I'm starting to buy some pieces for VC, WoC, and Empire armies.

I'm across the pond but there is a super active 6th ed community all over the country. Just in my city (which is small-medium sized) there's 5-6 other folks. Big cities even organize tournaments with 30-40 peeps (not bad for a 20 year old edition!).
Good times whenever the bug leaves.

I currently reside in Charlotte, NC. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, as I always say it when this subject comes up, dakkadakka does have a player finder part of this website. I am on it, and recommend that people use it. There is one or tow switches that you need to select in your profile and you are good to go.

On any other time, I would have said come on by and we can get a few games in at a LGS. However, I know that there was no gaming going on in Charlotte land at a LGS during that month. All were open to buy stuff, but that was about it. Maybe we can plan something next year if you are in the area. Ill try to get a table put together myself if I need to. Of course next time I am in the Great Lakes, I will look you up.

Quit playing after the whole AoS debacle. Packed my armies away in boxes and recently got them back out after hearing more about Warhammer:TOW.

Painted: OnG (~20K total), Dwarfs(~15K total) and Empire (Conquistadors, ~5K total)
Unpainted: Every army from 8th ed. (4-10K each), nothing painted. Literally nothing. Sadly sold Kislev, Chaos Dwarfs and Dogs of War. :(
Have a 4x8 table and terrain and looking to play some to get back into things.

Play 8th edition using Warhammer Armies Projects books (one designer means generally that the person writing each book has a vague idea of what they may consider balanced, and at least all books are for 8th edition instead of some being 7th or 6th...)
Interest in 6th ed. Obsession with 3rd ed.

I used to drive through Duluth on my way to Winnipeg all the time. Are you guys the city with the heavy Christmas theme, or am I remembering incorrectly?

Square Bases for Life!
AoS is pure garbage
Kill Primaris, Kill the Primarchs. They don't belong in 40K
40K is fantasy in space, not sci-fi

Most likely what you're thinking about. Duluth is somewhat known as the "Christmas city of the North". It's winter here half the year, and once winter hits the Christmas decorations go up everywhere and the big tourist-trap Christmas events, parks, and so on show up.

We have an active wargaming group here that plays everything, from 40k to historic, AoS and Kings of War. About 4-5 of us play Fantasy. Mainly the homebrew ruleset of Warhammer Renaissance for its balance between factions, but also 8th edition and any other ruleset we like to try out.

The group has access to space with tables and scenery every two weeks
We are always looking for fantasy players, even from other parts of the country.
