As the title says, anyone use it? How does it compare to other strippers?

100ml for £5 seems expensive for what a clean damp brush can do when you make a mistake when the paint is wet.
But I think this product is for when you are finished painting and you see a spot that isn't quite right and you need to remove dried paint.
The description is worrying though, it says good for metal and resin but can work on plastic although may damage plastic, to me it sounds acetone based and if it is then pound shop acetone free nail polish remover is far cheaper.

Thanks Rybrook, I didn't read the instructions. I did try a similar product from Revell and it didn't work, I ended up using it for cleaning brushes! Time to get 6 bottles of acetone free nail varnish remover from Superdrug at £1.49 a bottle, way more cheaper than 'official' stuff!

To be honest I use methylated spirits to strip minis,
Plastic and metal its perfect, I've never used it on resin

Nail varnish works well but it will soften plastic minis if it’s left too long and the edges go a bit funny. But for metal minis it’s amazing. It will dissolve super glue as will I think.
I tried green stuff world paint remover the other day and it’s the best product I’ve tried so far but i didn’t see the warning that says don’t leave you minis in for longer than 6 hours and it damaged a FW mini because they are made from a different resin or something. I will use it again because it’s the only product I’ve found that really gets paint out of the crevices on plastic models. When I use other products I end up trying to scrape paint out of detail with a tooth pick.
My main problem with GSW paint remover and nail varnish is the smell. Makes me feel a bit sick.
For day to day paint removal I keep a tub of diluted CIF cleaner refill pod and Chuck my pallets and minis etc in and leave for days and that tends to do a decent job.

Thanks for the replies. I've never had a problem with acetone free nail varnish remover, I don't tend to leave models in it overnight as I don't have the patience to wait! The smell is awful though, the superdrug version is heavily scented and stinks out the house! I have methylated spirits but I've never actually used for minis, only for cleaning paint palettes and brushes, so I'll give it a try.
I've seen many people mention biostrip, but to be honest, I've never rated it. I found that it took multiple dips and left too much paint on the models, at the same time it smoothed the skin on my fingers that much that I couldn't pick anything up for about 2 weeks! Wear gloves.
Dettol is good, but there are too many dangers with the concentrated fumes, regardless of how much precautions you take you will still make your house unbearable. You are also left with a lot of waste liquid that is not easy to dispose of in an environmentally friendly way.

Honestly, pick up some of this and give it a go
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cif-Power-Kitchen-Refill-Refills/dp/B07Y5HW9CJ/ref=asc_df_B07Y5HW9CJ/?tag=bingshoppinga-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=&hvpos=&hvnetw=o&hvrand=&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583451669201308&psc=1
You can buy individual ones is supermarkets. You can the dilute it to a desired amount and therefore I can be a bit stronger than if you took it out of a ready made bottle.
But I keep a tub of this inde my desk and Chuck things in that I am not desperate to clean and if does a god job of removing the paint and no sludge etc.
I think all rapid solutions will be a bit smelly, this just smells like kitchen surface cleaner.
It’s only about £1.50 so I’d recommend giving it a go.
