This is a battle report for all Walking Dead fans. It WILL comprise 361 pics when I am finished uploading all turns. Right now only ONE turn is in the album. Why? Well, it takes a lot of time uploading all pics.
Have fun!

Mission Objective:
Several Space Marine Squads are tasked to conquer three big ruins located in the opposing deployment zone. Doing so negates the Plague Zombie Horde from sending endless waves of reinforcements onto the battlefield.

Rules:
Custom rulesets WH40K 3rd-6th

Scenario Rules:
ENDLESS HORDE!
Plague Zombie squads may return to the battle field on their next turn via specific entry points when they have been removed from play in the present turn.
Roll a D6 for each squad removed in that way:
1-4: Choose a FREE entry point in the deployment of the Plague Zombies. These are the three big ruins itself and the two spots between ruin 1 and ruin 2 & between ruin 2 and ruin 3.
5: Left flank (two entry spots)
6: Right flank (two entry spots)

CHUMMY MACHINE SPIRITS
Space Marine squads can disable the ENDLESS HORDE! rule by conquering specific areas on the battlefield:
- Ruin 1 (on the left flank)
- Ruin 2 (middle)
- Ruin 3 (right flank)

Ruin 1 will negate reinforcements from the ruin itself and from the left flank.
Ruin 2 will negate reinforcements from the ruin itself and from the spots between the ruins.
Ruin 3 will negate reinforcements from the ruin itself and from the right flank.

A ruin is declared as being conquered when a Space Marine Squad ends it's turn in a ruin WITHOUT being in close combat. This status will be lost if the squad will be wiped out in subsequent turns or if ALL of it's squad members leave the ruin.

Squads which are equipped with an Auspex may enlarge their sphere of influence. Ruins can be then declared as being conquered, if the model with the Auspex is in 12 inch range of said ruin. This however lasts for only ONE turn as the CHUMMY MACHINE SPIRITS demand the presence of a talking partner immediately.

A single squad may only conquer ONE ruin and at LEAST one model from that squad has to STAY at this ruin at all times otherwise the CHUMMY MACHINE SPIRIT controlling the laser defense perimeter around the small town will cease to work thus allowing Plague Zombie forces back onto the battlefield. It needs another person to talk to after all.

Feedback would be appreciated.

Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high

That is a very impressive number of pictures.

I think that perhaps its tricky to get engagement with them, as some sort of narrative description linking them together as to what is going on might help.

Bedouin Dynasty: 10000 pts
The Silver Lances: 4000 pts
The Custodes Winter Watch 4000 pts

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum.

Thanks for the feedback.

Turn is designated as T.
T is followed by the actual number of the turn.
Next comes a letter which differentiates the pics from one another.
Last but not least comes the title of the pic.

I think in retrospect that it could be difficult to register what kind of effect ranged firepower had on the zombies because I almost never showed the casualties. So this will be improved on my next battle report.

Narrative description is too time consuming for me. By the way, the full batrep has 36 turns.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
How about the quality of the mission description? Is it crystal clear what the Space Marines are trying to do?
