Can I get peoples opinions on the following list. Mostly I am debating weather to run the infantry brigade as either cadian or giving physic awakening a try and going with wilderness survivors and disciplined shooters.

Looks brutal. There is going to be a lot of wasted anti-tank weapons on the other side of the table. Wilderness survivors would be good as you won't be advancing much with these guys. Personally I would drop the mortars and include some psykers to buff the infantry (after merging a couple of squads) and also sprinkle a few melta guns in there for some bite back when they get in close.

I am tempted to keep the mortars just for the indirect fire. Debating dropping one of the scout sentinels to put special weapons in each of the infantry squads just not sure on melta or plasma. Maybe drop a second scout sentinel to put bolters on the sgts. What do you think?

Disciplined shooters lets plasma shoot out to 18 inches twice, but melta is a range 12 ONLY weapon. Many times your opponent will stop far enough away that you would have to advance to get that melta in range, and jsut shred you with his nasty bolterfire. So with this army, I think plasma is the better deal.

I believe you are limited to 3 in a squad in gaurd, and that means you have 1 sentinal too many anyway.

Also, I believe you have to have as many krieg detachment officers as you have krieg command squads. (I could be wrong, new book I have not read) .. but that's 47 points that more or less consumes a second sentinal anyway.

I would (if it were me) fear this army way more if I knew it was going to kick out an extra 18 plasma shots at range each turn, than if I knew it was going to die holding meltas it had never gotten a chance to shoot.

I think its now that death rider command squads can be taken without a death rider commander, but when you take a death rider commander the command squad doesn't use a detachment slot (Though i could be wrong on that). Fair point about the plasma/melta argument.
