I am working with a friend on developing a producing a line of 3D printed near future 1/285 scale wargaming armor, these are based of real systems with slight style changed and look to give them a look of possible new systems that might be fielded by countries..

So far we have developed mobile artillery, TOS-1 clone system and mobile air defense missile launcher system.. just wanted to share some pics and see what people think of the current prototypes.

I like the look of the first design better than the missile launcher designs. They have a great retro-near-future look that reminds me of military Sci fi from the 70’s and 80’s.

Are you just looking for feedback, or promoting your designs for sale? If you are looking to sell, this thread might fit better in the News and Rumors forum.

To me they are good, maybe a little bit crude, but if I buy a miniature in that scale (and I might), I wouldn't want a super detailed and realistic one, I want a not expensive miniature (but not badly made) to play a large scale battle on a reasonably large table and your miniatures seem satisfy this requisite.

Supposing that MM means millimeters (the glossary says multimelta ), you can obtain the dimensions of the miniature dividing by 128 the dimension of a real vehicle or of a soldier. [wrong-scale]For example in that scale the model of a soldier 1.8 metres high (5 feet and 11 inches circa) should be 15 millimetres.[/wrong-scale]

EDIT: the right scale is 1/285 so a model of a soldier 1,8 metres high should be 6,3 millimetres high.

The scale is more Epic scale than 15mm I think.

Regarding the designs, the arty looks a bit wimpy. If you check real enclosed arty design they have massive turrets at the back to make it easier to get the big shells in. The turret doesnt look big enough for the recoil or for the elevation required. Remember that you need to fit a breech behind the barrel, and it all needs to fit through the turret ring into the body of the tank, or you need a humongous turret to house it all, like the KV2.

The missile storage units look fine, but it would be more interesting I think to have the AA units at least looking like they are ready for action rather than in transport mode.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

In fact I made a little mistake: I confused 1/285 with 1/128!

About the turret you are right: the real tank turrets are larger, like you can see in the following images about the M1 Abrams.

The artillery guns look good, but the turrets are to far forward for the length of the barrels, One on most artillery the engine is in the front for balance and the gun is in the back for easy access, projectiles are not little so you need big guys and all the room you can have to move them. The look like tanks with really long barrels.

For your missile launchers, look good. I like the pods with open tubes over the ones with the enclosed pods.

Overall really nice job.

Can you say me if the vehicles in the first picture under the spoiler are tanks or self-propelled howitzer? Because if I should judge by their style, I would say they are tanks, but your description suggest they are howitzers. If they should actually be howitzer, I suggest you to recycle your howitzer in a tank (maybe adopting a larger turret) and realize a new model for the howitzer, looking the various real howitzers for inspiration; you can see the PHZ2000 in the second image and the M7 "Priest" in the third.
Spoiler:

About the radar vehicles I would suggest to extend the ridged part to all the radar surface, because like it is now it seems to me a comb! Instead all the surface ridged make me think to this:

Do the missile launchers have an option for raising the launcher? As it they look a bit too static.

Heck since it's 3D printed you can go all out with missiles in mid flight and fire effects.
