Hi all.

Firstly, that’s not a word but it seems to be a thing.
Every time a character from the old world arrives in AoS they seem to be considerably larger than their previous incarnation.
With that in mind I decided that a clan moulder project would be fun, and I needed Throt the unclean to lead them.

Given that he’s prone to experimenting on himself anyway, being larger than he previously was isn’t something out of the realm of possibility.
However, he is now sat on a 60mm base and is somewhat larger than i first intended.

Now, he isn’t 100% finished yet.
I still have to do some slight sanding and cleaning up in places, plus adding some smaller details (mainly around the belt)
He is however at a stage now that I feel happy to show off the work.

This was a huge learning curve though as working with GS really isn’t my strong point.

All C&C welcome.

If you say that working with green stuff isn't your strong suit, I'd love to see what is! That is incredible! How much of it is sculpted vs how much is bitz? I seem to see a few different colors and shades in there, maybe it's my eyes though.

Anything I say, unless expressly noted, is my own opinion. Take it as you will

I agree, this is excellent sculpting. I'm looking forward to seeing it painted.

Thanks guys.

The base model underneath is a river troll as I needed a bulky body to start with, it also gave me a bit of a hunch back look to it to begin with too.

Head is from a rat ogre, but chopped apart to make it wider with green stuff.

Arms are from stone trolls that have been shortened, bulked out and had fur added to them.

Feet are from a stone troll, but again they have been bulked out and had fur added.

Tail is from a spawn with fur added yet again.

Sculpting wise - re-shaped the body, fleshed out arms and feet plus the head.
Robes are pure green stuff.
All the fur is green stuff.
Minor filling work has been done with even more.
A few details like the exposed shoulder and warpstone eye are all green stuff.

I tend to avoid sculpting as I’m far more comfortable with kit bashing.
It’s much easier as I can see how things will work.
Sculpting is something I rarely ever do.
Mainly just patches of fur and filling gaps etc.
I don’t even have a sculpting tool set at the moment.
That was just done with my hands, an exacto knife, a few different pins and a needle file.
Just kind of grabbed every day items to make use of them.

I’ll be moving house on the 18th but I’ll see how much painting I can get done before then.
