On doctor who, i'd like to see the movellans return. They haven't been around since the baker era but might be an interesting 'villain' to return. Giving them a background, like they were created by the last members of arace the daleks destroyer with the sole function of exterminating the daleks might make them interesting.

Get rid of the stupid weakness from lost in space tho, like how they got rid of the cyberman weakness that made no sense.

One thing I thought would be interesting in geek media would be to expand the blade runner universe. It's been made clear there are off world, and obviously extra solar, colonies and wars are going on in them. ("I've seen attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've seen C-Beams glitter in the darkness near the tanhauser gate." )

Maybe setting some stories in the offworld colonies, how humans got there, who they're fighting, etc, could open up and expand the blade runner universe.

I don't expect this to happen given the way BR2049 went at the box office. (I was literally the only person in the theater when i saw it.)

Still there was obviously a big. complex universe hinted at in the blade runner movie, it might have been interesting to have some stories exploring it.

I do not know if it counts as GM, but I would love to see more Takisha Miike Samurai movies......

You know things like 13 Assassins or Hari-Kari. Loved those films.

I'd like to see "Legends" re-established as the true canon of the Star Wars universe - possibly with some trimming, though I'm not 100% sure what I'd trim off the top of my head - but I doubt Darth Mickey is ever going to be so sensible as to do that.

I could go for that. More Empress Hoshi the First!

I'd like to see a TV series of Neuromancer.

Reboot Space: Above and Beyond with two 'groups' of characters; dedicated pilots and crew, as well as a recon squad.

Star Wars RPG with pseudo open world content a la DA: I, but with gameplay similar to Fallen Order.

An Elder Scrolls game that goes all in on a weird setting like Morrowind did. Also, drop the "detailed" pointless NPCs for more generics and larger cities. Oblivion and Skyrim felt way too small. I'd rather have more generic NPCs than a handful of "detailed" completely meaningless ones.

The only way we can ever solve anything is to look in the mirror and find no enemy

I'd like to see some expanded Dr. Who universe (I'm sorry but i think whoniverse sounds silly.) movies that are set in the DW universe but don't necessarily involve the doctor per se.

Maybe 2 hour movie or 4 hour 2 parters.

An interesting one might be putting a new villain against the longest running ones, the weeping angels vs the daleks as they end up fighting over a cluster of stars inhabited by humans so see who gets to prey on them. Make it a first encounter between the two.

I think three times is the BBC's limit on trying out that concept. I know some people loved Torchwood (but until its really messed up stuff towards the end), but the Sarah Jane Chronicles and Class (the weird one with the kids and the shadow monsters) didn't exactly go well.

These would not be series, they would be separate one off stories set in the universe but only at most slightly using characters from the dr. who series.

Think "rogue one" but in dr. who terms.

Sarah Jane was solid, given it was explicitly a kid’s show, and only ended due to Lis Sladen’s untimely passing.

Torchwood started out weak (2edge4u), but the two mini series they did were pretty superb.

Class? Don’t think I watched it, and if I did, I don’t remember it.

More Ultraverse. Don't even care where. Just something. That would make me happy.

I'd also love to see them make film adaptions of the OTHER Drac stories, not just Enemy Mine.

That would be cool - but War of the Worlds was such a disapointment.

Love to see some Gail Carriger novels adapted

I want more radio plays.

Not audio books with lots of music and special effects (which are great), but actual adaptions and original works made to be consumed in audio format with modern, professional production quality. I bet these exist, in fact I know they do, but it's hard to find the really high quality stuff among all the armature pieces.

I get sick of haters too. I really got P.O.ed when i saw a blatantly racist anti force awakens video from people who complain about being called racists for not liking it.

If you want to see what i'm talking about you can click this, but beware, offensive image.

I suppose it is kinda funny to see people who complain about being called racists for their views using blatantly and grotesquely racist imagery but i'm not laughing.

Yup.

There is a audiobook company called Graphic Audio. They don't just read books. They adapt them with all the production you are talking about. In particular they do a bunch of comics along with their books and they get the same voice actors for particular characters so the voices say consistent story to story.

So they're going to inflict a 5th indiana jones movie on us. I just hope this one deals with indy fighting resurgent nazis.

of the 4 movies so far, 2 have had Nazis in them and were clearly the best ones. The two that didn't have nazis were offensively bad and just plain stupidly bad.

Since they're going to inflict another one on us and it will apparently magically ignore the fact indy has a son, i hope they make it about an effort to revive the third reich in the 50's, possibly involving the spear of destiny which himmler was obsessed with, and since IJ movies aren't big on realism maybe even have an effort to rejuvenate a decrepit but still alive hitler, just so indy can kill him.

Honestly, the track record says when there are nazis in an IJ movie it's good, where there aren't it sucks. So let's go with a plot more like the 'Nazis trying to stage a return to power" theme that was popular in the 50's.

if we're lucky it might be almost as entertaining as "They saved hitler's brain" was.

Personally I really like Temple. But it would be really good if this movie involved a grown up Short Round or some such and then they pivot into a Short Round series.

Part of the reason I really dislike Crystal Skull is that it had some really interesting ideas and totally squandered them; the idea of Indy having been in OSS, fighting Nazis all over the world in WW2 is very fitting (I always imagine it being like the fight against Hydra in Captain America). And there’s a long history in sci-fi of supposed Soviet psychic warfare experiments, so I actually think they make quite a good replacement foil. Anything that expands on those ideas has real potential. Providing they don’t cock it up again.

Yeah, I wasn't upset that they put Soviets in as the bad guys. There was plenty enough to be upset at, but that concept wasn't bad. The problem was that they did the laziest, most uninteresting Soviets ever.

All the setting elements went nowhere in that film.
They were in there for a giggle like the gopher.
Nuke was just there for the fridge scene

McCarthyism was just background shots, even putting Indy on the watch list turned out not to matter at all (he just... came back and got married, presumably got his job back).

Soviets were just to have bad guys, they could have been anyone, Mobsters, smugglers, even the CIA/FBI or whatever. It wouldn't have changed the film one iota.

Its all set dressing

Since we're talking about the crystal skull movie, i have a question:

Near the end when they vortex opened and the traitor was being pulled in, indy tried to save him despite him being a worthless rat(fatherless boy) traitor POS.

The guy even seemed surprised that indy was trying to save him and didnlt seem to want indy pulled in too.

Do you think he was pulled off the whip or did he maybe decide to do one decent thing in his life, after seeing indy risking his life to save his, and let go deliberately to save indy just to do one decent thing in his life?

Definitely the second!

I think Indy finding a Nazi base in Antarctica that leads to a Lost World in the Hollow Earth could be SWEET!
