This project is what got me back into the hobby. I'm planning to create a full 2000 point army of my custom Orruk Warclan, the Bad Bloodz.

The Bad Bloodz are an orruk warclan within the realm of Ashqy. They are red orruks. Through their fungal growth, consequentially they
absorb chaos taint from the corrupted soil. This slight chaos corruption results in the skin red. No other side effects are known.
The Bad Bloodz as a warclan are highly militant. They keep a strong hierarchy and order, with the biggest bosses executing insubordinate boyz regularly to keep the rest in line.
The Bad Bloodz adopt tactics in warfare, using formations and flanking maneuvers. They paint their armor bone white, letting it bleach in the desert sun as they roam the wastes of the realm.
The orruks of the clan believe something in their blood causes their skin to become red. Hence, the Bad Bloodz.

That's what I have so far, I may add more to it. If there are any inconsistencies with lore, please let me know. I had an idea to paint red angry orks and I'm going for it.

Let's start off with my latest completion for this project, my Bloodbowl Brutes.
Kitbashed from Season 1 and 2 Bloodbowl orks and Ironjawz Brutes weapons, I put these together.
Extremely happy with how they turned out. The boss is my favorite one out of the group.

Boss

I know the Season 1 orks are bit small, but the poses were too good to pass up.

I'll be posting the rest later on. I have to add my Megaboss, Ironjawz Start Collecting Box and Morgok's Krushas.

Thank you. I've been using burgundy for the banners, tabards and top knots. I think it pairs nicely with the bone armor.

The painting is lovely, I like the red skin. Orcs are great for variety of skin tones and armour! I like the basing too, really great return to the hobby

Working on this Brutogg Orruk Kitbash, any suggestions for what unit he could count as? I can up the base size if needed.

I cant comment on the army backstory as I am more a 40k guy who just got the aos 3rd ed box but your paint scheme is great!

I do like orks (or orruks) and the red skin is an interesting change to the model look - more feral somehow. The scheme with ivory/bone armour really makes the skin pop, and the gaze/focus is fully drawn to the faces (especially the goregruntas).

thanks for sharing. I look forward to further updates.

Thank you very much. I'm working a final set of kitbashes to finalize this army.
I'm turning some Ogor Mournfangs into 3 more Gore-Gruntas and a Stonehorn into a Maw-Krusha proxy.
I'll post some stuff on my progress soon.

The color scheme really helps to show the army's aggression. Can't wait to see the mournfangs conversions.

Finished up a little side project for this army as well, a Big Stabba!
Bad Bloodz will often search out nearby Bonesplittaz when in they need to bolster their forces for an upcoming WAAGH. They will subjugate the savage orruks into joining their forces, only to use them as frontline fighters and /or tactical diversions. The savage orruks essentially become cannon fodder for the strategies that the Megaboss in charge utilizes. The savage orruks that fight back or refuse to join, are executed by the Bad Bloodz. The ones who join, paint their bodies with red war paint and charge head first into battle for the warclan.

My Tuskka Riders are all done!

Here's my lore for them: Often, small groups of Bad Bloodz will embark on expeditions they call "Ded 'Ard Hunts." These expeditions involve the Bad Bloodz Orruks traveling through random realmgates aiming to fight and smash the biggest opponents they can find. If the orruks survive the hunt and manage to return to the main warclan, they revered as "Ded 'Ard" and may be elevated in social and/or military status. The returning orruks often bring back new weargear, trophies, loot and "taktiks," of their conquests.

The Tuskka Riders are "Ded 'Ard" orruks who have triumphed over Ogor Beastclaw Raiders. Tuskka Riders usually commandeer the mount of the Ogor and serve as all-terrain cavalry. Tuskka Riders will often use the same weaponry as Beastclaw Raiders, even experimenting with black powder weapons. More often than not, the black power weapons become cast-iron clubs rather than ranged weapons. The black powder weapons will also be wielded for the sole purpose of making the orruk look "more killy."

It’s amazing how quickly these guys have come together. The red and ivory work so well together, what’s your recipe?
Mute Mega-Boss is a great centre piece to the force, great job!

Amazing job! I really like the red skin, it reminds me a lot of the Fel Orcs from Warcraft, you did an amazing job contrasting with the bone armour, looking forward to seeing what else you share with us!

Thank you! I'm not gonna lie, I was inspired a bit by the Hellfire Peninsula Orcs. I plan on adding some Kruleboyz into this mix, but I am painting them a more traditional green. My Ironjawz will be exclusively red.

Haha, I don't blame you! The Fel Orc design in BC was definitely very iconic and I think Ironjawz are a perfect faction to reflect their beefy and armoured goodness. Excited to see how you contrast your Kruleboyz with the Big Red Ladz!

I've got most of the Dominion Kruleboyz finished, aside from 3 more heroes.
I plan on mixing in 2 killabows, boltboyz, swampcalla shaman, and the sloggoth (dobby).
It should a nice blend of ironjawz beef and kruleboyz shooting.

Holy Waagh! Gork and Mork are very pleased with your lads!!!

Impressive, man! I really like your armorcolor, you mentioned it is just corax white with seraphim and pallid highlights, but is the seraphim thinned down? If yes what ratio? Is it shaded like classic shaded or is it airbrushed as a colorfilter over the white?
Can you do some detail pictures of the armors?

Honestly I don't thin the seraphim sepia, because I like the dirtier look.
I don't have an airbrush, so I just brush it all over the white and mop up if there's too much excessive pooling.
I can do some close ups later on for sure.
