There were a few things in the GM field I wish had happened but now never will.
I personally would have loved to see a WH40K novel written by Douglas Adams. I may have literally laughed myself to death but i could have died happy.
Also, I've have loved to see H.R. Giger design a Godzilla. Not necessarily a banana headed version of godzilla that just looked like a fusion of the Alien and godzilla, but even that might have worked for the heat ray system come to think of it. But a giger biomechanical godzilla could have been just mind blowing.
District 10.
Anything GM related you wish had happened but won't?

Don't bet on it, there is at least one Batman/Aliens crossover.
Firefly is getting a new show, so that's kinda happening.
On topic: I would have loved to see a more true to the comic adaptation of The Boys. I don't care that it's edgy, but I love the comics to death, and while the show is still pretty good, I find it a bit lacking on full on craziness.
But with the Amazon show out and its success, it will probably never happen.

I am happier, yes thanks.
I would have loved to have seen more Babylon 5, especially the Psi-Corps stuff that was supposed to happen.

I'd like to say that a fourth AbramsTrek movie never happening. My only consolation is that the video game was essentially another movie that fits in between Trek and Into Darkness...
Also, literally ANYTHING to do with the Ultraverse. Especially the movies/cartoons/games that were in development.

Metroid Dread.
For those who are (blissfully) unaware, there were plans for a sequel to Metroid Fusion on the Nintendo DS called Metroid Dread, but for one reason or another, the game was never released. Instead, all we got was Other M and then a near-decade of silence before the Prime 4 announcement and Samus Returns on the 3ds. The influx of metroidvania indie games has softened the blow a little bit, but it doesn't make me that much happier. Who wouldn't want to play a game named "Metroid Dread?"

Not a new show. Just a new short run comic series.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

No, I'm aware of the comic series.
But there is a rumoured Firefly reboot floating around from December.

Not seen that rumour listed anywhere but that website, which makes me doubt its veracity. After all, Disney has no reason to keep it hush hush as a project.

Yeah, and that's talking about it being a reboot starting the story from scratch (which would suggest different cast) and family friendly as well. Will be a very different show, and not the one I wanted.

honestly it'd be just a generic sci-fi series riding on the coat tales of the last one... when this news broke my response was "why is disney bothering, they've got star wars and anything firefly does they can proably just do with star wars anyway and have a bigger built in audiance"

Quick search shows it's Bernie Wrightson, which explains my confusion.

A robocop vs predator movie might have been good.
A movie or tv show based on the original deus ex PC RPG.
Anything not made by or controlled in any way by The Mouse...

I would have liked a good ending to the new Star Wars trilogy. The Rise of Skywalker was really incoherent garbage, what a let down.
Similarly, I would have liked it if Game of Thrones had stuck the landing. Because I would have liked to read those novels someday. I doubt they will get published now.
I would like it if the Kingkiller Chronicles would have gotten finished before I realised how cringey parts of it are so I could have remembered it fondly.

Oh that reminds me - how about the hinted but never released, Temeraire movie!
That is basically taking Master and Commander and swapping ships for ship-sized dragons!

I'm kinda curious myself. I stopped at the first one when it bait and switched from an interesting story about an impending apocalypse to a generic coming of age story about an annoying 'genius' child.
