The article is clearly intended to mock nerds, but there are plenty of women who are interested in “nerd culture” who pursue men with similar interests. Not really. The Mash has run a number of these spoof articles on Warhammer over the past decade or so, and it's clear there's a lot of both affection and knowledge in their mockery.
Yeah, it's almost universally the kind of mockery that you can only do if you REALLY know the subject. Which means you're mocking yourself. Which is fine, in my book.
