Does anyone know how often Battle Foam ( UK site if that makes any difference) has a sale?
I stupidly missed out at Christmas when I forgot to check out and the following morning the sale was over

Couple times a year at least. From what I remember they usually have: a birthday sale(no idea when that is), a July 4th sale, a Black Friday sale, and often a Christmas sale in there as well.

also note that orders during the sales can be really slow (months not weeks), not always the case but don't assume you'd get your stuff any time soon

Let me see if I can help with this topic! Our next Sale is projected to be in March sometime, more than likely the end of. Then we will have our General Baggy Sale, which is usually a one to a two-day event that occurs near or on May 11th. Then we transitioned our July 4th Sale to a Super Summer Sale. That will happen in late July, early Augustish. Lastly will be our Black Friday/Thanksgiving Day sale that runs in late November. Sometimes we are compelled due to hobby or world events to do more, such as our Christmas/Boxing Day Sale last year. The discounts can vary from sale to sale, with our Black Friday/Thanksgiving Sale always the max, and most likely the Super Summer and Springtime Sale matching or being close to. Baggy Birthday and other small sales are typically not as high in discounts, but a Sale nonetheless. Hope this helps!
On a side note, when we do Sales, it is for both the US and UK side. The exception to the rule is if there is a UK Con, then we leave that to just the UK site. All US Sales have been enabled on both sites though.
Oh, and to address shipping times. We try to have all orders out within a 3 week period, even during a Sale. This might sound extensive, but this includes Custom Foam or large orders which usually make-up the back end. We go sequentially with our orders to keep it fair, and most basic orders such as Magna Rack, empty bags, stock foam trays, standard load-outs, will be gone the first week. Now orders from the UK that require product from the US will obviously have to include the transit time. That can be a toss-up with current world events. Best advice is to order early in a Sale so you hit production as soon as possible.

Now I'm just hoping they're not shipped from the US with a 6-8 week delivery time (as opposed to 5-7 days for UK orders).

It's normally 6-8 weeks.
You will get an email that it is in the production queue some time before that.
